The montezuma Oropendula is a beautiful bird but especially beautiful when in flight and you can a glimpse of his gorgeous tail. The bright yellow is vibrant and gives him such an elegant look. This image was captured as he was preparing for take off. Talking about taking off Gary and I will be leaving for Namibia today. We will miss you all but will look forward to catching up on our return !!!

Last week I posted a pic of the Cecropia caterpillar, here's a pic of the moth. I've seen many moths in my travels but none looked this good. I decided to get a close up pic to show how cool these things are.

This morning I posted an image of the female shiny honeycreeper and so tonight I wanted to post an image of the male. Hid vibrant coat can be seen from afar and his beauty is breathtaking. Cost Rica has certainly been blessed with a great deal of beauty both in wildlife and fauna !!!

The male baltimore oriole is really a gorgeous , elegant bird and we were happy to have the opportunity to see him on our recent trip to costa Rica. The female was nearby and also very beautiful but not quite as vibrant as her mate.

The family of giraffes came early to the waterhole to begin a new day . It was wonderful to see the various ages and sizes quietly and cautiously heading down for an early morning drink. Such incredible display of beauty.
