And from the shadows...
The Shadow: (thinking) Among the good citizens there is also much evil being planned down there. Do those miscreants think they can hide from me? The Shadow knows!

Any Star Trek fans out there? One of the themes that was explored a few times on Start Trek, the Next Generation (the most cerebral of all the various Star Trek variations) was the notion of multiple beings who could be present at the same place at the same time, but in different "phases".
Phases of what was never clarified, of course, but someone could be at a certain place and time as someone else, but be in a different phase, and thus, not interact with one another. In fact, an object could even could pass right through solid matter that was out of phase, and it represented the technological advancement beyond the basic Romulan and Klingon cloaking devices.
So here we are... the red penguins could be completely out of phase with the black and white penguins, for all practical purposes! It is as if the penguins have no idea that the visitors even exist. And the visitors do their best to not disturb the penguins.
So this was my personal Star Trek "out of phase" experience!

Children's faces displayed on a wall in the centre of Reykjavik. Aren't they cute? ;-)

Here's a picture of the whole wall, taken by Helgi, a man I met in a cafe in Reykjavik. He was surfing on Flickr with his laptop when I met him. ;-)
Another shot from my journey out of the city. I hate it when I don't set the camera up properly and I have to depend on crops. Oh well, I do what I can.
