Point of Rocks Historic Transportation Corridor

Mineral County, Montana

The corridor retains physical remnants of two important transportation networks that served the rugged back-country areas of Mineral County, Montana during the late nineteenth (Mullan Road-1860) and early twentieth centuries (Milwaukee Road Railroad-1908). The Mullan Road was the result of John Mullan's tireless efforts to complete a military route linking Fort Benton to Fort Walla Walla and served as the primary, if rudimentary, transportation corridor for early military mining, commercial and settlement interests in the region over an extended period until surpassed by the rail networks. Few such well-defined remnants of the Mullen Road have been identified. Taken together, the road corridor and the adjacent railroad corridor offer a unique picture of evolving transportation development in the region.

The point of storytime is to give a little insight into the one-off funny happening in Real Estate. Like anything in life, we strive for courtesy and professionalism. Real Estate is our life and none of the storytellers would trade this profession for the world. We hope you enjoy our story’s as much as we do. If you would like to tell a story of your own, please email me at Casey@treelinerealty.com If it’s about realtors or us, we are all adults here and would love to share a laugh with you!

Unfortunately in the first batch of videos, the audio lines were in close proximity to a powerstrip giving us a wonderful buzz. Future videos will not have such a muddy sound. Thank you for understanding!

Yes you’ll see a lot of golf carts in the active adult communities. Many offer special golf cart parking. If you’d like to drive your golf cart outside of the neighborhood, that is not permitted by law. However, there are several communities that have private back-roads from the community, leading to a shopping center. That is permissible since the vehicle will not be driving on main roads.
