Taken on a recent Talkphotography meet to Northumberland. We ventured south to Newcastle on the Friday night to shoot the quayside, which was a first for me.....

The layers in the rocks up there are evidence of Noahs Flood, especially when they are bent, as can be seen around the world in many locations. The layers in those locations had to be soft at the same point in time to all bend smoothly as they have.

Had a trip to Newcastle on Sunday with Richard Armstrong for sunset...no colours but still enjoyed being out.

The Gateshead Millennium bridge in its opened position, this was the worlds first ever blinking eye bridge that tilts forward to allow boats to pass underneath, installed over the river Tyne for the Millennium celebrations, taken from the Quayside in Newcastle upon Tyne

a slightly murky day but you can *just* see St Johns Lighthouse if viewed large

The guy paddling in the water (about 1/4 in from the right, pretty much 1/2 way vertically) gives some scale to the whitewash at the back
