A gigantic kitchen space once attended many workers and visitors to this spa and resort in upstate New York. The concept of spending several weeks at these resorts stopped being popular in recent years and many of the locations closed down, including this one. I can only imagine the insane amount of movement and food that would have to pass through this space on a daily basis. © 2013-Current.

Ascetic man, hedonistic man, this light is your richness...your great heart is a mirror that reflects light.
This hefty thistle was growing straight out of the concrete and rubble in a courtyard at the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, PA. Though the prison is abandoned, it's open to the public for visitations for a minimal fee. This is why this album is named after the actual location and not some code name to keep the location safe. I don't know what the status is right now due to COVID, but even at half capacity the prison is enormous enough that you could easily keep a safe distance from everyone. © 2009-Current.

Sunset Point offers vistas of some of the most famous and breathtaking of Bryce Canyon's hoodoos. Directly below the point and to the south, the Silent City rises from the canyon floor, a maze of hoodoos and fins packed in tight formation.
So many of these places are gone now, including this one, which was an asylum in New York. This multi-purpose recreational room was used for sports, plays, and movie showings, among other things. I was able to visit this location twice, the first resulted in my friend falling through a floor onto just behind me in this shot. Thankfully, he was fine, and made for a funny story later, but at the time there was a great deal of initial panic for his welfare and how in the world we would get him out if he was injured. He walked away having just ripped his "adventure pants," and hence the nickname for this location. © 2013-Current.
An abandoned tuberculosis ward sported a room full of identification cards for patients and drawers full of supplies, mostly broken. The ward was manned from the very early 1900s to the late 1970s when it was left to rot thanks to modern medical treatments to battle TB. Another building was erected right next door that became a psych ward, but that was closed down in the 2010s and about 300 patients were ousted into the world since institutionalization was no longer considered an acceptable means of treatment. © 2015-Current.

This powerhouse of a Jaguar was just hanging out on her little log bed, completely at rest. These animals are extraordinary powerful and can lift large kill into trees to keep from other predators such as hyenas that could easily bully them into leaving their hard-earned kill. Cascade Falls Regional Park is a 22 hectare park located just northeast of Mission, in the Hatzic area. The park's main attraction is Cascade Falls, which drops an impressive 30 metres into a large emerald pool. From here, Cascade Creek runs into a series of smaller falls within a deeply incised gorge as it drops an additional 18 metres before emptying into the tranquil lower pools.
