This was during my very first trip to the Owyhees while on break from college. I was a real greenhorn.
That little car still gets me where I need though, it's certainly been put through a serious beating.
One time I got stuck in 6 inches of mud, with the clay rich paste clogging my wheel wells so much that the tires would not even spin.

At this point, most of dorm 2 is a biohazard. Old lead paint is peeling off the walls, there are cracks in the foundations and walls, moisture everywhere, breaks in pipes, black mold, and likely asbestos everywhere. The basement holds the boy's workout room and furnace area
Even though the walls are painted bright yellow with motivational sayings and program jargon, these rooms were actually some of the scariest rooms in the school. Children were locked in here for hours, days and even weeks at a time until they were compliant with the program rules. Much of what is written on the walls are part of the WWASP program jargon such as "step left." This jargon is learned through the program seminars which are direct rips of the old Lifestream EST-style seminars.

La organización montoneros (si, los hijos de las Madres de Plaza de Mayo, los Firmenich, y que fueron los padres de algunos jóvenes revoltosos que se hacen llamar HIJOS), le dio la misión de asesinar al Jefe de la Policía Federal, general Cardozo.
Ana Maria González, se hizo muy amiga de la hija del general, que confiada, le brindó el acceso a su hogar.
Así, ellas estudiaban juntas y charlarían los temas típicos de las adolescentes.
Pero Ana María González, tenía en mente preparar el atentado. Y lo Hizo. Luego, publicó cómo lo hizo. Realmente terrible. Una tarde que estaba sola con la la hija del general, le dijo que iba al baño, y se metió en la habitación del general Cardozo. Debajo del colchón puso la bomba. Más tarde -relató luego la asesina-, volvió a esa habitación para cambiarla de lugar, y ponerla más cerca de la cabecera de la cama.
Era una bomba que se activaría con un resorte cuando el general Cardozo se acostara.
Y esa noche, el general Cardozo, perdería la vida.
Ningún organismo de Derechos Humanos, se preocupa por este asesinato del terrorismo.

Activists of all ages gathered for an afternoon of art, music and politics at our third Democracy Cafe in Mill Valley. This month, we looked into solutions to end gun violence, through a range of activities designed to inspire us to action. We started the day by making signs for the ‘March for Our Lives’ rally. We then sang along with the Freedom Singers. Marin County Supervisor Kate Sears led a group discussion on gun reform. Young singer Emma Spike performed songs of hope, and music director Reed Fromer led a final sing-along with some classic tunes about social change.
This free public event took place on Sunday, March 18th from 2 to 5pm, at the O'Hanlon Center for the Arts in Mill Valley. We were delighted to see many young people come make their own signs against gun violence, then stay to sing and talk with us.
Thanks to all our friends and neighbors who came to join their voices, minds and hearts to energize each other and create a better world. Kudos to our co-hosts Marilyn Price, Jennifer Tomkins, Rebecca Brackman, Grace Severtson -- and everyone who helped us organize this uplifting community event.
Democracy Cafe is a series of free creative and civic events led by Fabrice Florin and a growing community of activists and artists in Marin. We think making art, playing music and talking with people of all ages and backgrounds can build mutual understanding and engage us to take meaningful political action together.

What started as a passionate rally across from Senator Dianne Feinstein's office, grew quickly (and I sense unexpectedly) into a spontaneous blockade of Market Street at lunchtime with over 1000 people, disgusted by US cruelty at the border, calling to immediately CLOSE THE CAMPS!! Two hours later, after a march down the center of Market Street and another street blockade, the rally ended outside the office of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi. #closethecamps
Most of the student files were left when the school shut down. Jason Finlinson seemingly made no attempt to properly remove, store, or return these student's records. This includes personal information such as medical histories, social security numbers, birth certificates, journal entries, etc. Since the property is unguarded and unlocked, this is a huge risk to the now-adult former inmates.

I'm no stranger to political statements. Usually I make them out of anger or frustration with our system. This time out of sadness.
The NRA is a massive lobbying group and is has a tax-exempt nonprofit organization status. One step away from becoming a religious entity. So many people treat them as a religion already. And they have a death-grip on our nation's democratic system. The argument of "Only a good guy with a gun can fight a bad guy with a gun" sounds like someone is trying to sell two guns. Once again its not about freedoms. It's about $$$.
Remind me the last time "thoughts and prayers" stopped a bullet.
