Here we see a Network Rail Overhead Line train passing through Atherstone on the morning of the 26/6/20 with a Crewe EMD to Crewe EMD via Rugby working. The train was powered by DR98004 (front) and DR98003 (rear) and was captured passing through Atherstone on the Down slow enroute back to Crewe.

Exiting Belmont Tunnel and leaving the ominous looking cloud over Bangor behind, today's HST test train approaches Georges Crossing Cottage and Belmont Road Bridge. A recent conversation revealed the the pick up mechanism for the Travelling Post Office .(TPO) was situated quite close to here. That might explain the 'crossing' reference!
The 1Q30 is headed by 43013 with 43062 on the rear.

Just managed to spare a few minutes earlier today for this working via Grantham.
Class37 Colas Rail liveried 37421 pictured powering away from Bamber Bridge with a Blackpool to Derby test train. 37521 was on the rear.
The valley of the River Welland and the village of Harringworth, in the far north east corner of Northamptonshire are dominated by the massive Midland Railway built Harringworth Viaduct. It was built around 140 years ago, and has over 80 arches. Currently, it carries only a little traffic, a few freight workings and the once daily return East Midlands Trains service from Melton Mowbray to St Pancras. It's seen here on 28 December 2009.

With a burst of clag 37099 is off round the corner leaving Derby station working the 3Q26 Woking Up Yard - Derby RTC .

Bringing up the rear of today's Network Rail's test train was Scotrail liveried tractor 37025. Seen here passing through Leyland.
Colas Rail's 37116 leads 1Q43 - the track inspection test train that ambles around the Manchester/Stockport area for 12 hours - through Nether Alderley. With most of Colas' other 37s otherwise engaged elsewhere around the country, Rail Operations Group's 37611 'Pegasus' was commandeered to bring up the rear.

Network rails 975025 "Caroline" + at the time dit 37418 and a struggling 20007 pass the park & ride site @ Askham bar very slowly with 5Z03 the 12.08 York parcel sidings (actually York south yard) to Derby RTC saloon move 22/09/2022.
The train stopped 200 yards further on were the 37 was switched on and went on with a lot more noise and guts.
Networkrail Nmt makes it's way along the river Teign with the 1Q18 Old Oak Common to Plymouth on a typical day off.

Ex-East Midlands Railways DMU 153376 has been acquired by Network Rail as an Inspection Train, with cameras fitted to both ends. The single coach unit initially operated in the previous operator's livery, but was painted plain blue with "Inspection Train - Maintaining a safer railway" branding in summer 2022. The bright vehicle catches the sun while working the 5Q70 0944 Manningtree Down Siding to Manningtree Down Siding via Norwich on the approach to Trowse Junction.
