Bird watching trip to Rusanda Park (Melenci, Vojvodina) and Slano Kopovo (Novi Becej, Vojvodina) - Saturday November 13, 2010
For my "Non-Urban" landscape assignment.
Beach images, I actually tried to show items that would be commonly found on a beach.
This is netting that must have washed up on shore, the tide had not long gone out when I arrived.
This is one of a series of quick pics I took for my A-level project on 'colour'. i was looking at colour field painters like Mark Rothko, and wanted to see how i could transfer that to photography.
Strange technique of wrapping the hanging bunches of grapes in plastic netting, presumably to protect them from birds, insects maybe?
To keep all manner of predators out of my pond, and away from my Koi and Comets, we bought a frame from Kmart (originally designed to store a car) for cheap and positioned it with 4 freinds directly over the pond.Covered it with two sections of green pond netting woven together with green #12 copper wire. Then we surrounded it with black deer netting from Home Depot. Result, NO Losses In 4 years.
Recommended to keep butterflies out, we think hens and pigeons as well. Nothing underneath yet! The Debris Netting comes in a 2m wide roll which suits 4ft diameter hoops.
Owl caught in deer netting grabs the netting for stability. To read story, click on: carolyncholland.wordpress.com/2009/11/08/its-been-an-anim... (It’s Been an Animal Day). (Photos by Carolyn C. Holland: IMG_9039E-091107)
Netting support in place ready for the pea plants when they get just a bit bigger and can be planted out.
This place is steeped in history. It has been known under many names in the past including Banados babies hospital and Hawkhurst castle.
There are stories about this large hospital being haunted, it has also had many uses in the past spanning from Dr Banados house, a baby and young child hospital, shelture for children in WWII and a care home for the elderly. for more infomation please visit the following links:
