We're pretty sure this was a bald eagle nest, maybe wth a bald eagle in it, but it was kind of a long way away.
Somerset. A long-distant, digiscoped shot just to record the artistic flair of this pair. No other nest in the colony had the "star-burst" design.
the nest is maked from all naturall things I founded: unwashed wol from a farm, gras, wood and my own merinowol...I was interested whats going on with this different materials...i like it very much... after easter I will put the nest in my garden an look for new hirer...

Celebrate spring and nature! Adorable little treats that look just like real bird nests. They are made with chow mein noodles.
Typically Killdeer nest in open environments where they rely upon their camofluage to conceal the location of their nest. This bird seems fairly conspicous in this photo, but in reality it was blending in terrifically on the debris from an old logging landing in the middle of a pasture. Notice the thick black stripes on the bird's chest and throat. Though these are conspicuous when the bird is standing, they work to break up the bird's outline when it is sitting, much like the stripes of a tiger in the grass. Many people are familiar the killdeer's distraction displays seen when they approach too close to a nest or chicks. To draw a percieved predator away from the nest or chicks the adult will often feign injured, leading the predator to a more tolerable location.
The Eagle's nest is located in Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, Germany, and was built by the Nazi party for Hitler 50th birthday. It was used as a sort of conference center and used to entertain dignitaries. It's now a resteraunt.

The gentoos collect pebbles to make the nest, but often prefer to steal pebbles from their neighbours’ nests, inevitably causing arguments!
found a nest in the trees behind my mailbox. from the look of their mother, i believe they are American robins (turdus migratorius). the still unhatched egg is not likely to survive. no idea what the white thing is.

This little nest was blown out of the wisteria. When I took it's picture I didn't see the perfect little leaf nestled inside.
I've heard cooing outside on my back porch for the past week or so. Now I know why. I read that pigeons lay 2 eggs at a time... I wonder if today was egg-laying day and I interrupted? Hmmm.

21.35 - Just had a look at the live stream to make sure there were two chicks in the nest. If anyone was watching at 17.30ish one of the chicks fixed its beady on Mum’s branch and after a couple of false starts landed there! Taking in to consideration the time of day this did not bode very well – if he flew off he might not make his way back to safety by nightfall. However, presumably he felt discretion was the better part of valour if his head jerking reaction to the drop beneath him was anything to go by. He seems to be bedded well down with his brother now so let’s hope he doesn’t try anything more until tomorrow.

HB Hen is P67676 which was banded in that yard a few days earlier.

Clapper Rails only nest in thick cordgrass and their nests have to rise and fall with the tide. Because the cordgrass in the marsh is not adequately healthy, artificial floating nests are provided with covers so that predators cannot easily take the eggs or chicks.
Swan(s) breeding in the bed of the river Wien in the Vienna inner city! It'd exciting watching them because the place is often in flood! Thus the municipial administration has circumwallated the nest by cement blocks which withstood up to the time being.
