Nerf is making some really interesting guns these days. They look completely awesome when you paint them.

I modded and painted this Nerf Maverick to be suitable for use as a film prop (here's what it looked like to start with). It's also performance modified with air restrictors and dart guides removed. I used 2 coats flat black spray enamel and dry-brushed silver and copper paints over the top, with highlights picked out in gold. I kept the Blaze Orange muzzle cap unpainted for legal reasons, but I've photoshopped one of these images to show what it would look like with a painted muzzle cap. :) Steampunk-inspired, and based on the work of some other very talented Nerf modders.

So I bought this a couple of months ago with the intentions to turn it into a steampunk pistol.
That didn't pan out so well so I turned it into a Sci-Fi pistol! Nothing too fancy, a bit of snading and moulding here and there. I am very tempted and a scope and a longer barrel but I am happy with the way it is so far!
Hello everyone, here is my Cocking NERF Gun! This took a very long time, but I am very proud of it, even though it might be a little on the tall side. I thought that when I used the door rails, the slide would move around. But when I attached it, it stayed in place, and it wouldn't move unless I pulled/pushed it with my hand. I even put in the piece that lets you see into the NERF gun, as you will see later on. Enjoy and don't forget to rate and comment!
Please POST A COMMENT AND SUGGESTION ON HOW TO MAKE IT SHOOT!
Tried catching a moving dart coming out of a dart gun.
Timing is near impossible. First I tried with the flash, but just couldn't nail the timing. Then I aimed a bright halogen light at it, and upped the ISO to 1600 in order to lower the shutter speed. As can be seen above, that wasn't enough.
I think I need a strobe in order to do this :p

Modeled after the Nerf Maverick revolver. The barrel and the slide move. No it's not spring-loaded and no, it doesn't shoot.
