Programming was varied at RoberCon 2015. This one was called Nerd Spawn: How to Survive and Thrive in a Geeky Home, about the pitfalls and pleasures of fanish families, and featured panelists ranging from Anna Chen, aged 10, to Mary-Ann Grate, aged mumbldy-mumbldy. A lot of time was spent on what families can do together, what is good for the kids (from the kid's point of view) and how to catch and hold the family's interest.
20-sided dice were awarded to audience members who could answer trivia questions. I took one home for knowing who did the original novelization of the Star Wars movies. Don't judge me.

Nice way of capturing and presenting structured user feedback (pre-defined tags, one-line status comments).
The way to every nerd girls heart is with books (and chocolate of course) but mostly books!

say what you will about RP (yeah Im starting to do it too) but HOW in the world did this awful ad campaign lure anybody in? Seriously!
What drunken six-year old drew this? Where are all the cans of Mountain Dew? Wheres the token fat guy? Wheres the skinny guy with the glasses and acne that always wears polyester plaid shirts? Whats a real girl doing there? Why is nobody fighting over the actual names of the shapes of the dice? Wheres the big brother that comes down and slaps everyone in the back of the head, calling them all losers and playing keep-away with the DM screen?
Where is the egotistical jackass bossing the others around because its the first time in his life he's had company at his house and he wants this power-lusting moment of Uber Super Nerd to be perfect in his mind forever?
Ahh, those were the good old days.
