This is a group shot of the illustrious 1990 WV Youth in Government group [read: nerds].
I remember this day so well for some reason...I woke up from a bad dream that morning with a stomach ache, my dad's car broke down on the way to the Capitol and I had to get out and run beside the car in the rain while my Dad pushed it out of traffic, and - to cap it all off - I was a GIANT NERD.
I'll buy a beer for the first person who can identify me in all of my 8th grade glory (Brad, you can't guess because you already know...although I should probably buy you a beer for sleeping with me, because: NERD!)
Aaron held his ground and was able (but just barely) to remain unconverted after Ryan's lengthy sermon on the virtues of jazz.

As a child, I followed the adventures of these three characters and worried about their survival in the middle of the ocean.
This creation is a nod to Hergé's work, which, like Lego, was a joyful companion in my early years. This is also my entry for Bricknerd's Nerdvember 2023 contest, the theme of which is survivors... Many thanks Bricknerd for this contest.

So Hol and myself are both slight apple nerds. iPhones, MacBooks, we both want iPads . What geeks. These are our MacBooks next to one another, I love how the logo lights up on the back, simple things eh?

One of my husbands comic books. This one is from 1994. He owns about 8000 comic books some of them are about 80 years old, before comic books were comic books. I learnt everything I know about comic books from him. I could listen to him talk about the X-Men for hours!
I am a huge tech nerd and proud of it! Also I think Nerds are hot. My favourite celebrity nerd is Rivers Cuomo from Weezer.. he is hot!!
Also I love the sunset I got behind me. We have had some beautiful ones here lately.

Somehow New Mexico made 3 out of 25 sites to see on your next nerd road trip. This comes from a Popular Science round-up that the ABQ Journal covered. I'm a little dubious about the Las Cruces Chile operation, but I've not seen it myself.
Careggi, 1944. In un campo di concentramento Nerd il misterioso Dottor Ciancico (maestro della logorrea e del fistfucking) osserva un giovane Ciccio Andreaisen (che ha il potere di piegare la carta con le mani e le sopracciglia) rompere un braccio di una sedia distanza dopo essere stato separato dai suoi testicoli.
Nel suo ufficio, Ciancico chiede a Ciccio di replicare l'evento muovendo una monetina di metallo da inserire nel suo deretano; quando il giovane non ci riesce, Ciancico uccide sua madre parlandole per 4 ore di fila sotto i suoi occhi, scatenando la sua ira. In pochissimo tempo Ciccio distrugge la stanza e uccide due soldati abusando di loro, sotto gli occhi, divertiti e appagati, del Dottore. Nel frattempo a Wenchester County, nel Massachussesststs, il giovane telepeto Lally Xavier incontra nella sua postazione pc, la mutamaglie Pepper (già vista in Iron Nerd, con il potere di cambiare forma alle magliette rendendole smanicate); felice di aver finalmente incontrato qualcuno come lui, Lally la invita a divenire un membro della sua famiglia.
Diventato una palese minaccia alla pazienza altrui, il dottor Ciancico va fermato, così Ciccio e Lally entrano nella CIA (Centro Internet Associati) con l'aiuto dell'agente Federics Buffet; per fermare il logorroico dottore, i tre (C’e’ anche la fervida Pepper) decidono di reclutare dei Nerd; per questo Lally usa Cerebroleso per localizzarli. I due reclutano la spogliarellista Sofy (che bevendo redbull riesce ad avere le ali), l’uomo puffo Angel (quando perde a fifa diventa blu e si incazza pure col compagno di squadra) e il temibile TestadiCane Charlie (con il potere delle emorroidi canine). Pepper invece, decide di chiamarsi Mysticanal, così tanto per emergere nel film.
Nel frattempo il perfido Ciancico recluta anche lui delle forze per contrastare il fighissimo Lally, convincendo la plumbea Gordy frost (che riesce a trasformarsi in un barattolo di nutella e automangiarsi)e Sgariozel (stesso potere di Angel, ma quando perde a fifa diventa rosso e si esalta se segna su autogol).
Il gruppo parte a bordo di un jet sperimentale fatto di pesto, e riescono a fermare la guerra logorroica di Ciancico appena in tempo.
Ciccio riesce a fronteggiare Ciancico e, privatolo dell'elmetto della logorrea suprema, permette a Lally d'immobilizzarlo tramite telepeti a ripetizione; Ciccio indossa l'elmetto per far in modo che Ciancico non entri nel suo orifizio e uccide il malefico nerd dello streaming, impalandolo col suo avambraccio allenato da anni di tennis e pugnette.
Dopo la lotta, i Nerd si dividono in due fazioni, la prima, capitanata da Ciccio, che nel mentre si farà chiamare Calamita-boy (data la sua abilità ad attaccarsi alle balle delle persone per dar fastidio), che sostiene che i Nerd domineranno il mondo contro gli umani; la seconda, con a capo Lally, che cerca di salvare gli umani dal predominio Nerd.
Ad un tratto però Calamita-Boy si accorge di somigliare spaventosamente a Spok, e scappa via dalla serie per fondare StarTrek...
Il prequel del famoso fumetto Marvel sui Nerd si preannuncia come una pietra miliare del cinema nerd, assolutamente da non perdere, e scaricare subito tramite torrent, intasando tutta la linea.
