Honestly, the things I build sometimes... :-)

Built at the last minute and at great expense for Tommy's "Pimp My Nerdly" contest.

Banthas make great fodder for a Nerdly contest.

My boyfriend also gave me the "British Nerd" set for my birthday, I love it! Apparently the googles leave marks on the face, so I've preferred adding them on photoshop xD It's a pity because I love them :(

By the way, Iori is wearing a size M obitsu and the clothes fit her perfectly :)

What happens when you mash Nnovvember and Nerdvember together. Nnerdvvember?

Here is my second entry for the Nerdly Strikes Back contest, a nerd-giri! Well, it's actually maki sushi, but then the pun doesn’t work!

Credit to Nobu for the shrimp tail design; they do wonderful food MOCs that always blow me away.

Built for the 'Pimp My Nerdly' contest! I had been hoping to build a tiger for a while... mission accomplished!

Wanted to post this random hand drawn character on 288 label, looks like he has potential...Been working hard on hand made stickers to get out to people on my list.

Created for the Gizmodo article The Proper Way to Talk to an Internet Helpbot.

It was a lot of fun to work in a different scale (as opposed to minifigs), and I think I'll revisit it soon. I'll be posting a closer look at the figure in the coming days over at powerpigbuilds, as well as a Lego Digital Designer file of the entire set-up.

Somehow got talked into a Harry Potter themed photo shoot... here are the nerds ..err.. I mean results ;)

I am Iron Nerd.

This here Iron Nerd was built for the Nerdly Strikes Back competition hosted by... BrickNerd! Thought I might as well swing in with a last minute entry. Rewatched all the Iron Man films recently so I'm in a real Marvel mood. Built in under 2hrs.

If you haven't entered the "Nerdly Strikes Back" contest yet, now is the time to seas the day!

b-day presents for a friend

Had to give this another go this year.

One of my absolute favourite shows growing up was the A-team (if you listen closely you may still hear the soundtrack...sshhh...) and one of my my favourite movies was Rocky III. So when this years theme was the 80s, well I really had no choice ;)

So here goes, B.A. Baracus aka Clubber Lang aka Mr. T!

First one to say his catch-phrase wins, haha!

Simple yet recognizable.

Built for NERDvember on BrickNerd.

I'm a nerd.

still waiting...

Somehow got talked into a Harry Potter themed photo shoot... here are the nerds ..err.. I mean results ;)

The logo and mascot for the wonderful community blog BrickNerd.com is a stylized red 2 x 2 brick wearing glasses named Nerdly. Contributors tend to have their own customized versions of it to represent themselves. This is mine, because I'm very excited to say I've joined BrickNerd as a contributor! In fact, my first article went up today. It's about part mold variations over time, and techniques that can be achieved with different generations of those parts. I've got a ton of ideas going forward, and I'm excited to share with and learn from the BrickNerd team!

Does this shirt make my face look fat?

I brought a new flash one month a go and I was too tired and busy to test it out…Just did it two days a go with those nerdy glasses.

It was a pretty heavy month, so much to do, so little time, and everything got piled on me at once. I’m tired as hell.

Because it had to be done...

As was announced today, I will be joining up with other community-minded AFOL's in revitalizing BrickNerd. Earlier this year, many of us were lamenting the continued lack of community coverage on the mainstream LEGO blogs (TBB being one). They commonly neglect to mention all of the community driven contests and events that inspired those creations they blog about to be built in the first place.

Dave Schefcik has seized on the opportunity to take over the reigns of BrickNerd from Tommy, and along with Simon Liu and others we hope to remedy this by evolving it into a community minded hub. With Keith having mothballed ye old Manifesto blog, there also hasn't been a good home for my occasional commentary on the community. That was probably for better... but nonetheless, since the fellow BrickNerds seems amenable to me posting stuff like that, I'm all on board. Excited to be a part of the team!

I had to do Laurel slaps too...sorry for tha bad shot

Couldn't think of anything today, so I thought I'd try an old new look. I haven't had this look in a LONG time!

Day 161 of 365.

Stenciled 4 layer 8x10 canvas.those damn stars where tedious!!Less than half made it on canvas.. =p

Inspiration just struck me out of the blue. I managed to build this in a little under an hour, and I'm quite proud of how it turned out.

Built for the Pimp My Nerdly Contest!

C-FTIO, Bombardier's Global Express test bird, arriving at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport for a few days of test-flying.

Boris Karloff as TheMummy (1932) classic horror film was my subject in a collabo with Saro one. These are shots of the stencils. Each stencil layer was digitally hand drawn by eye(no filters or tricks) then hand cut on poster board.Enjoy..

Lookie what showed up in the mail today! Do you tinker with bikes? Hit up @biketinker to get yours.

I wanted to make a build for NERDvember, and since everyone builds Nerdly characters I thought I'd do something a little different. A Nerdly glasses holder!
