The Royal Academy of Arts doesn't really need any introduction but I'll provide you with one anyway. Founded by King George III all the way back in December 1768, its centuries long mission has been to promote British art and design via 'education and exhibition' (thanks, wikipedia!). Still going today, independent and privately funded, it seems to be doing this quite well. In terms of the 'education' aspect - the Royal Academy Schools form the oldest art school in Britain, and also . And for the exhibition - they possess a massive collection of art, much of it extremely rare. And they also champion âup-and-comersâ - which they bloody well should do. Go into the courtyard at Burlington House at the moment ad the first thing you shall see will be the current installation, which looks likeâ¦I dunno⦠WW2 era sea mines crossed with a touch of Scandinavian minimalism and some of the decor from a the Casino Night Zone in Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Anyhow, within this hallowed institution's hallowed courtyard you shall find The Keeper's House. It is called this because it was traditionally the place where the academy's Keeper lived (the current ones doesnât live there though, which seems sad considering itâs full of supercool shit). The Keeper did a lot of stuff (though looking after bees and errant footballs were not included) - I think mainly it comes down to administrative work and âkeepingâ the art collection. Keeping it looking pretty andâ¦educational maybe.
Anyhow, within The Keeperâs House is The Shenkman Bar (named after a notable RA architect, I think?). We were invited down to said bar because of a man/cocktail genius/excellent human being named Fabio Fritolli - who I met some months back at the Cichetti bar. Fabio is a bar consultant (I think) - and since this is his current project, he wanted us to come see it. All I can say is that everything is SERIOUSLY on fucking point and that Iâd love to know where he gets his ideas from. Also in attendance was a certain A list celebrity. She seemed also to be having a good time :D
When you need bit better photo than bathroom selfies, but you need to set the lighting out of floor lamp and table lamp removing the shades placing these on two on shelf to get some directions for the light..haha..and there is not third one to remove the shadow. And sorry, some people had asked why i have not posted anything for awhile, basically my cameraphone is just not for the season here in estonia where the nature light is maybe available 2 hours per day

What a great event we had on Saturday to help raise money and awareness for the Fill-N-Need Foundation, bridging the gap between adults with Autism and the community. The ride started in NJ at Bergen Harley and ended up at the OCC Complex in Newburgh NY. In addition to an awesome ride we had the Heritage 3 Band putting on a great live show at OCC Cafe as all the riders enjoyed good food, good friends and a great cause. Thank you to all the sponsors, Allied Building, Bikers For Brooke, Bergen Harley, Mallory's Muffins, Heritage 3 Band, Rebar and Callico Construction.

I blame the weather. It's been icing here, and it's been miserable. Every school was out today, except ours.
Ughughguhgugh.
But I'm really excited because supposedly me and Nicole are going to Florida for spring break !=]
Which means we could take tons of neat pictures. Aha.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 5th from 9 am until 2 pm for the Bread and Butter Stream Cleanup in conjunction with Better Waterways! We will be targeting the area of the stream beginning being Merritt Point Shopping Center moving toward Bear Creek! Volunteers of all ages and abilities are needed! Help us remove the trash before it flows into Back River, the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean! Every piece of trash removed is a small victory to be celebrated!
We run our cleanups as a family event with plenty of ways for volunteers to participate. We welcome every type of person of every ability level to contribute and assist with the cleanup. Though it is true we will need people to dig out shopping carts and haul trash to the dumpsters, we need people to run water, food, tools, and trash bags (both empty and full) to individuals in the creek. People to sort recyclables from the debris removed. People will be needed to help at registration, setup food and snacks as well as many other less strenuous activities. We are also authorized to sign-off on Community Service and Service Learning Hours for students. The more people we have, the easier the work will be for everyone. We will provide lunch and snacks as well as gloves. A limited number of tools are available for sign-out, but suggest bringing your own if you have them.
We are also looking for photographer/videographer volunteers to help us document our cleanup as well.
We will meet behind Palm Beach Tan (1623 Merritt Boulevard, Dundalk, MD 21222). Registration will open at 8:00 am and we will enter the stream at 9:00 am after a brief orientation!

Well hai guys. I'm trying to write a new story ATM, but I can't get any original ideas flowing. I'd really like to start writing again; it's good again. So please, I need some ideas. If I get 20 comments + an idea that works, I'll finally upload some Lego. Happy Eric? :P

The Program in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University held a Narrative Medicine Basic Workshop called “Race | Violence | Justice: The Need for Narrative” on April 7-9, 2017 at the Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. We live in an increasingly polarized society with exceedingly complex and pressing issues facing health care, including class and race-based health disparities, unequal access to health care, and the increasing toll of gun violence against persons of color. Rigorous narrative work may reveal a path through intensely divided positions on these issues toward a place of productive understanding.
Our signature methods of close reading, attentive listening, and perspectival respect hold out possibilities for reciprocal understanding, even in the face of deep divisions. Together, we will use narrative methods to bridge divides and catalyze action.
We welcome our guest speakers:
