You don't have to have an engineering background to see this seal on one of the expansion joints on the South Fork Skykomish river bridge needs to be replaced. This is one of the tasks contractor crews will complete during the rehabilitation of this bridge deck in 2020.
I bought a portable cooler for chilling my drinks in at the Value Village, and also got a Chimay glass for 99 cents. The glass proved problematic though, as I completely spilled my drink in the dark. After refililng it with the rest of the beer, I made a promise to myself, to just do this one thing, "do not spill your drink again". And bam! I spilled it again, right off the bat. I hadda do some swearin' after that.
Fluffy Skirts - Reclined (B&W): More practice is needed with flash photography, this setup took far too long to get dialed in. Godox AD200s in 30x120 softboxes left and right, with a Godox V1p in a Neewer 65cm softbox front left for fill light.

It's ALL Mine!
Luna posing with her Christmas prezzies. The books are the best, she likes looking at the pictures while I read to her. I went with the "Something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read" philosophy but she got plenty of gifts from family and friends. Even our dentist sent her a gift!!
Want: Giant sock monkey (she seemed to like the blue one I used in her photos last month)
Need: Goodnight Moon Book (everyone keeps saying what a great book it is)
Wear: Disney Princess costumes (they were on sale after Halloween at Target!)
Read: What Does The Fox Say (I think that book was more for me than for Luna, LOL!)

I need help identifying this Hummingbird. Taken near Baños in eastern Tungurahua Province in Ecuador. My best guess so far is a blue-fronted lancebill or a Napo Sabrewing (thanks Sue). It was seen near feeders at a house by a waterfall about 2km from the town.

I've been thinking about this shot for months, since I did my first experiment. The problem was to hold my camera still while the car was moving... Luckily the internet has got the answer to every strange thing coming in my mind, so I found a car tripod (payed 3€ more or less)... I put my camera on this strange tripod and put them together on the door of my car!

I need to get out more, but this frame from my last trip shooting downtown kind of caught my eye because of the (relative) success of my iPhone light painting effort. It seems to work pretty well where a larger, more powerful light might be too much. And, as always, I can't seem to stay away from urban rot, in this case the former Stark Street ferry crossing.
