Sunday promised to be a nice sunny day. I got to Daisy Nook for sunrise hoping to have a great day weather wise. It turned out to be miserable and cloudy! A nice sutter speed was needed for this Kingy shot, not to be though !

Jet Streams are cold and strong winds circulating high in the atmosphere. Because of them we failed to climb Mera Peak (on this photo), but aren't they great artists??? Yes, we were angry that we didn't climb this bl**dy mountain, but not for long...

Probably too much information, but I turn 66 today and I was thinking back to when I was a kid. My mom would yell, "up and at em, daylight in the swamp" when my sister and I needed to get up. This cub wanted to come check out my little den but I told him he needed to go downriver and catch up with his mom.
His mom was down in the water way over to the right and out of the frame. I'd been standing on the porch of my cabin waiting for the two of them to head on downriver so I could go get some coffee.
But this little guy was so curious and walked up close to my porch where I was standing. Don't worry, I was right by my door and could have stepped in very quickly.
He was just curious and wanted to check me out for a second and then went on down the way to catch up with mom.
