Possibly the most photographed boat wreck in the world, in Tomales Bay near Point Reyes Station, Marin County California. Most photographers seem to favor a composition with the boat reflecting in water and the bay behind. Unfortunately for me, there was only a small muddy puddle in which to get a reflection so I moved around to the other side to catch some of the purple/pink colors from a heavily clouded sunset. Luckily I managed to catch some of the color reflection in the little stream in front of the boat. Overall, this is an unusual comp for this particular 'attraction'. I'll leave it to the viewer to decide whether it works or not.

Nautical Disaster is the name of a song by the Tragically Hip, one of my favorite bands, and immensely popular in my native land, but sadly not much known outside of Canada. Nautical mishap is probably more appropriate for this particular scene. Six Months in a Leaky Boat would've worked too but I see that one is already quite popular as a photo title on flickr.

I found this boat in the repair yard of Island Cove Marina, Harrison,Tn. I have heard the expressions, three sheets to the wind and three sheets in the wind all my life, with the expressions meaning drunk, polluted, plastered, etc. The boat being named Three Sheets in the Wind just struck me as being funny. The can of Bud Light sitting on the boat made it even funnier.
