Scotch Pond consists of a pond, originally a slough, dredged in the early 1950s and connected by a channel to the Strait of Georgia. Along with the pond are the remains of wooden boardwalk pilings which run directly along the south edge of the pond and were constructed in 1899 as part of the Scottish Canadian Cannery operation.

Canadian Shore is an aluminum vessel suited for any trip or adventure in the Pacific Northwest. Whether on the inside passage in BC or the fjords of Alaska, Canadian Shore is highly functional with efficient and reliable equipment.
Shore Boat Builders, built this John Brandlmayr designed vessel in 1989 and in 2002 it was extended and converted to the unique vessel it is. The vessel has well appointed interiors, full navigation systems, is even capable of changing it’s draft.

It was too nice an evening to retire in our campground for the night (last September) so we walked down to the local village on the Bay of Fundy to check out the action. It was pretty quiet, actually, which suited us just fine, and there was a nice pink glow in the sky after the sun had set. I gather nautical twilight officially happens when the sun is 6-12 degrees below the horizon but without any way to measure it and given that the lights on the pier and one of the boats had come on, it seemed more fitting than Civil or Astronomical Twilight.
Warm glow of the late sun reflects off the paddler and anchored boat.
This image runs 'Hot and Cold'
Warm evening light, accentuates the boarder's skin tones and lights up the boat, yet contrasts with the icy blue tones and the snow peaked, Mount Baker background.
Mt Baker also known as Koma Kulshan or simply Kulshan, is an active glaciated andesitic stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc and the North Cascades of Washington in the United States. (Wikipedia)
