Raku é uma das diversas técnicas de queima da cerâmica natural.
De acordo com os historiadores, ela foi criada por volta de 1522 em Kioto - Japão, pelo ceramista Tanaka Chojiro, depois que este conheceu a técnica chinesa “san cai” – cerâmica vitrificada em 3 cores, originária da região de Fujian na China.
Inicialmente o Raku foi aplicado na decoração de peças utilizadas especialmente na cerimônia do chá (“cha-no-yu”) incentivando o artesanato cerâmico que enfatiza a simplicidade e a harmonia.
• Raku Tradicional: remove a peça do forno permitindo que o esmalte em ponto de fusão sofra um choque térmico no ar com banho de chá, acarretando uma ligeira separação entre o esmalte e o corpo da argila, proporcionando o efeito típico craquelado do RAKU tradicional japonês.
• Raku ao Estilo Americano: Os americanos adicionaram uma etapa ao processo do Raku incluindo uma redução com combustíveis como serragem, folhas secas, palha de arroz, jornal, etc, que produzem fumaça e fuligem. Imediatamente a peça é coberta de maneira a cortar o suprimento de ar. Dessa forma obtêm-se o efeito esfumaçado e as áreas escuras da peça, características próprias que tornam o Raku mundialmente famoso.
A partir desses dois procedimentos básicos de queima cerâmica, conseguem-se outros tipos de efeitos do Raku.

LAS CIUDADES SUTILES
Se supone que Isaura, ciudad de los mil pozos, surge sobre un profundo
lago subterráneo. Dondequiera que los habitantes, excavando en la tierra
largos agujeros verticales, han conseguido sacar agua, hasta allí y
no más lejos se ha extendido la ciudad: su perímetro verdeante repite el de las orillas oscuras del lago sepulto, un paisaje invisible condiciona el visible, todo lo que se mueve al sol es impelido por la ola que bate encerrada bajo el cielo calcáreo de la roca.
En consecuencia, religiones de dos especies se dan en Isaura. Los dioses de la ciudad, según algunos, habitan en las profundidades, en el lago negro que alimenta las venas subterráneas.
Según otros, los dioses habitan en los cubos que suben colgados de la cuerda cuando aparecen fuera del brocal de los pozos, en las roldanas que giran, en los cabrestantes de las norias, en las palancas de las bombas, en las palas de los molinos de viento que suben el agua de las
perforaciones, en los andamiajes de tela metálica que encauzan el enroscarse de las sondas, en los tanques posados en zancos sobre los techos, en los arcos delgados de los acueductos, en todas las columnas de agua, las tuberías verticales, los sifones, los rebosaderos, subiendo hasta las veletas que coronan las aéreas estructuras de Isaura, ciudad que se vuelve toda hacia lo alto.

This unusual, falling apart wide A-frame roof suggests this building was originally a 1960s-era Burger Chef.
Nardelli's took over this location in late 2015, removing the tree and adding a dining patio.

La reunión consistió en un desayuno de trabajo al que asistieron el presidente del Ente Administrador Puerto Rosario, Lic. Ángel Elías y miembros del Consejo Directivo, con los máximos directivos de TPR Carlos Bello, Gustavo Nardelli y Pablo Neirotti. Luego tuvo lugar una recorrida por el predio de la empresa concesionaria de las terminales I y II de cargas generales y contenedores.
