Getting to take a nap at work is a very good thing, usually. 20 minutes is about perfect for me, but I can make do with 10 minutes. Naps can be tricky because if its too long, you'll feel groggy afterwards instead of refreshed. If I haven't slept well the night before, a short nap will not do me much good.

Birds are small to large, warm-blooded, egg-laying, feathered, bipedal vertebrates capable of powered flight (although some are secondarily flightless). Many scientists characterize birds as dinosaurs, but this is consequence of the physical structure of evolutionary diagrams. Birds aren’t dinosaurs. They’re birds. The logic & rationale that some use to justify statements such as “birds are dinosaurs” is the same logic & rationale that results in saying “vertebrates are echinoderms”. Well, no one says the latter. No one should say the former, either.
However, birds are evolutionarily derived from theropod dinosaurs. Birds first appeared in the Triassic or Jurassic, depending on which avian paleontologist you ask. They inhabit a wide variety of terrestrial and surface marine environments, and exhibit considerable variation in behaviors and diets.

I got a lot of strange looks from passer-byes as I stood on a ladder for two hours waiting for all three to do something while looking in the same basic direction. Every time the mom and one was looking towards me, the other was facing away. It was almost like they were doing it on purpose just to tease me...

Carol Anne McGuire and I shared these seats in business class, thanks to Julene Reed's fast talking in Chicago.
We were in flight from Chicago to Frankfurt, as we traveled to Brussels for a few days, then on to Berlin to meet our fellow Apple Distinguished Educators for our Global Institute 2006.
Two wonderful weeks in Europe!!!
