Keith found this rabbit taking a nap by the fence in the back yard. He looks dead at first sight, but he is really just sleeping. They find our backyard to be a safe place. Since this is not the first one we have seen taking a nap sprawled out. This is just the first one we got on in a photo.

This baby is about 5 weeks old. He's been a bit under the weather so he's in his own cage recovering.

He is not a pet. When he's older, he''ll be released back into the wild (I'm a licensed rehabber)

Two workers in the Niavaran park (north of Tehran) taking a nap in the middle of their hard work.

The second person is merely visible, as there is only one pair of shoes and he is almost completely blocked by the person in the front. But if you count the foots, and divide it by 2 (not four!!!) you see that they are two!

The Red-naped Ibis (Pseudibis papillosa) also known as the Indian Black Ibis or just the Black Ibis, is a species of ibis found in parts of the Indian Subcontinent. The sexes are alike. It has a curlew-like long down-curved bill, a black head with a patch of crimson, and a white patch near the shoulder. This largish black bird is found at lakes, in marshes, in riverbeds and on irrigated farmland—it is not as aquatic as many other species of ibis. It is gregarious and generally forages on margins of wetlands in small numbers. It is a common breeding resident in Haryana. It nests in trees and breeds from March to October in North India.

As we were walking toward home on the playa, we came across this fella taking a nap in the middle of nowhere. We see the most surprising, unassuming things out on the playa. Strange things in a strange setting, and yet so settling and befitting.
