The way I look at this online picture-taking thing is like this: there are people with fancy cameras that take lovely pictures of things happening. These people post their pictures on Flickr.
Then, there are people who just take poorly-lit pictures of themselves in the bathroom mirror, just so they can have their picture on the internet. These people post their pictures to Myspace.
Ever the pioneer, I am going to do the unthinkable and post Myspace-style pictures on Flickr. Something bad might happen, I will keep you filled in.
I chose my bedroom as myspace. It is a safe space for me and is filled with all things that I love. I love decorating my space with different kinds of art and my interests. I keep this area with warm colorful lighting instead of my ceiling light because it feels more like home. I decided to use more of a background blur in these photos and take them from the side. I chose to shoot this way because everyone who comes into my room always tends to tilt their head when they look at my things. my family likes to call it the museum of the house since I have a bunch of trinkets and art on the wall. So I wanted to mimic that feeling through the camera. I want viewers to see these photos as if they are coming into a new friends room! Similar to when you first go into your friends room and see all the stuff they’ve got around :) I find that I do that when I go over to my friends houses and it’s always a nice experience to see their own spaces, therefore I invite you to mine!

Great app, but it does crash alot. This is the demo version and they're charging $35 for it. Too much for a program that isn't that stable yet if you ask me... but still. for someone who has tons of contacts like i do... this can be a lifesaver.
I can see how someone in the music industry could find this really useful

Ritter’s Beer Garden in downtown Ocala, FL was collecting donations this night to benefit the Baker Family. Doug Baker recently passed away due to a terminal liver disease, leaving behind a wife and 5 young children.Their minivan has broken down, and they were unfortunately left without a vehicle
Ron Fernandez (also known as Rondo) of Cabana’s Catering in Ocala, FL has generously agreed to donate his large van to this struggling family, but it needs a few repairs first, which Don’s Garage in Ocala, FL has generously agreed to donate their parts and labor into making this a reliable vehicle for the Baker family. All donations collected went toward the repair and insurance of the van. You can also help by donating cash under the Baker Family Charitable Trust, by going to any SunTrust Bank.
Jenni Fenton: WOW! We had a great crowd last night at Ritter's and raised a bunch of money and even received an offer from a local garage to repair what we couldn't afford! AWESOME!! You guys are great, and this is gonna help out the Baker family big time!
