As the end of the semester begins to draw near, I have less time to build lately. However, I wanted to get at least something small in for Halloween.

Hope everyone has/had a spooky Halloween this year! I dressed up as a Kingsman, which was pretty lit.

Next LEGO project will probably be for Thor: Ragnarok, so stay tuned! I've also been working on something behind the scenes, which will be unveiled by the end of 2017. Stay tuned, friends!

BOO!

The Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB is one of the most beautiful cars in my opinion, and given the lack of vintage cars in my LEGO collection, I thought it was high time I built one.

This car took about 2.5 months to build start to finish; it came together fairly quickly compared to most of my other builds. The front and rear were the most difficult aspects of this car to replicate, but after multiple revisions I think the end result is fairly accurate.

If you would like to build one for yourself, instructions are available for purchase on eBay.

This is my 1:16 LEGO rendition of the Maserati MC12. The street-legal MC12 was produced from 2004 to 2005 for homologation purposes of the MC12 GT1 racecar. The real car is based on the Enzo Ferrari, but with a completely revised exterior design and a slightly detuned engine. It is also longer and wider than the Enzo.

This creation has been in the works for a long time, as I started building this in early January 2019, but now I have finally had time and motivation to finish it. Like a couple of my other cars, the it is 16 studs wide at the front and increases to 17 studs wide (not including the rear wing) at the rear. By far the most challenging aspect to replicate was the side profile, especially with regards to the rear engine cover. It took a lot of trial and error, but eventually I arrived at the engine cover solution you see here.

This features a removable front clamshell, opening doors and engine cover, and targa-style roof.

"If you have an idea that you genuinely think is good, don't let some idiot talk you out of it." - Stan Lee

It was long overdue that I build something in honor of Stan Lee himself. It's been a busy few months for me since his passing, but I knew I wanted to do something. What Stan Lee created, along with others like Jack Kirby, has inspired generations of people and helped in the creation and strengthening of many of my friendships. His messages of inspiration will stay with us forever, just like his creations and his memory.

Excelsior!

Here's another homage to Exo-Force: a revamp of the 8115 Dark Panther, to complement my Aero Booster.

This time I took more liberty and made the set as it should have been: a proper panther with teal instead of purple, gold instead of yellow, single pilot, and a tail cannon — rawr!

The idea behind Mech Monday was to post one model of a mech, robot or drone per week, each Monday of 2019. Markus did all 52 models last year. For personal reasons, I did only the first half. This year, I’m doing the remaining 26 weekly themes.

This is it! After the Torment, the Negotiator proudly joins my Midi-Scale capital ship collection, engineered with the same philosophy in mind: maximizing accuracy, features and proportions of the original model in a moderate size.

Made of 3,145 pieces, 68cm (27 inches) long, weighing 1,6kg, the Negotiator is a medium-sized, modular Venator-class Star Destroyer holding on a single, unique Lego stand.

This piece of work is the result of weeks of designing, engineering and intense testing. I wanted the Negotiator to be dense, massive-looking, intricate and packed with detail, while being compact and manageable.

Building at such a scale, I had to take into account every possible constraint (balance, weight distribution, structure sturdiness) while never compromising any aesthetics (SNOT look, thickness, greeble).

The Negotiator features every intricate part of the studio model: turrets, hangar and docking bays, engines, bridge, greeble... with utter attention to detail and proportions of the original ship, as seen in the Prequels.

Instructions for the Negotiator are available at BrickVault!

Sorry for the poor photo. I had very limited time to actually photograph this properly before sending it on its way in time for Christmas.

Wanted to keep the design small, light, and strong so that it could hang properly on a tree for years to come.

Happy Christmas, everyone. :D

Mary Stuart

Mary (queen of Scots) had once claimed Elizabeth's throne as her own and was considered the legitimate sovereign of England by many English Catholics. Perceiving Mary as a threat, Elizabeth had her confined in various castles and manor houses in the interior of England. After eighteen and a half years in custody, Mary was found guilty of plotting to assassinate Elizabeth in 1586 and was beheaded on February the 8th 1587 at Fotheringhay Castle.

Here's my LEGO rendition of the 2022 Ferrari F1-75, which was raced by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. The 2022 Formula One World Championship saw a major change of the technical regulations, with the reintroduction of ground effect aerodynamics and restriction of radical designs. These changes were implemented with the intention to reduce an F1 car's wake of turbulent air (aka "dirty air") that disturbs the aerodynamic flow of following cars, thus allowing for closer racing and more overtaking.

The F1-75 proved to be competitive at the beginning of the 2022 season, taking 2 wins, 2 poles, 3 fastest laps, and 5 podiums in the first 3 races. However, unreliability and a downturn in performance (especially after the FIA's Technical Directive 39 which was targeted at reducing porpoising) in the latter half of the season resulted in Red Bull winning both the drivers and constructors championships with relative ease.

This approximately 1:15 scale LEGO creation was probably the most difficult F1 car I've built to date. The design of this car is quite a departure from the previous F1 cars I've built, so I had to approach this build with a blank slate. The sidepods and engine cover shaping of the F1-75, which some have likened to a bathtub, is very organic and unique. Recreating this was by far the most challenging aspect of this creation. I hope I have done this car justice as it is one of the coolest F1 cars in terms of design in my opinion. A big thanks goes to Steve Hall (Instagram: @stevehallego) for making the stickers that help recreate the livery.

The EF76 Nebulon-B Frigate has to be one of my favorite ships from the original trilogy. After rewatching the beautiful ending scene in Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, I decided to take on the Midi-Scale challenge once again.

This very compact model is made of 1,464 pieces and measures 48cm. With this design, I tried to maximize the density factor in the smallest, most convenient size possible.

The Nebulon-B features a movie-accurate, fully asymmetrical design, from side panels to greebles and surface detail. It also includes cannons, sensors, an accurate and intricate bridge section, a streamlined water tank, and many small details seen on the original ship.

Reproducing the various front assemblies, small buildings in the back and all the greebles around the engine section took lots of fine-tuning, mindful part choices, and fun gap-filling sessions to closely match the ILM prop model.

The building process isn't too long nor complex: I once again went for a fully modular approach, and the reasonable part count makes it both a manageable and relatively affordable build.

The EF76 comes with a wide built-in stand and can be moved around easily. It can even be grabbed and held by its long middle section which is made of a sturdy technic liftarm configuration.

Instructions for the Nebulon-B are available at BrickVault!

LEGO Ghostbusters Movie Poster (in 3D)

Stands 15.75" (40cm) tall, 13.25" (33.5cm) wide and 5" (13cm) deep.

Part Count: 2576

This is the second MOC in my 3D Movie Poster Collection. It was built to the same scale as my previous poster, LEGO Jaws.

Made up entirely of official LEGO parts and no glue used (in case you were wondering).

Features custom stickers for the large and small Ghost faces.

This model goes really well with my Punishment of Prometheus MOC as well!

Built for another college mythology course assignment. Let me know your thoughts!

This weeks theme is "Nature" and the first thing came in my mind was building a tree. And of course I had to add a Tiny Robot. This time it is the Little Robot Messy. And he is making the woods "messy".

Again 101 parts for this MOC. And again some older parts and some you wouldn't expect. Love the seaweed leaves though. They are coming with the new LEGO Ideas Winnie The Pooh set. Guess, my tree also could stand there somewhere deep in the 100 acre wood. :)

In scale with my other mini builds.

These guys were built for a cat to destroy in my Bio-Cup Redemption Round entry.

I'm going to bend the rules of the canon a bit, but we have:

The Youthful Gali: The little highlights of Orange were such a great idea for Gali Uniter, they were just placed horribly. Hopefully I've done them right here. Also trident because that's aquatic.

The Prideful Tahu: Takes the most inspiration from the Master version of the character. Tried to go for some of classic version though with the sword(s).

The Stoic Kopaka: Sadly, no highlight color, although I suppose Tahu didn't either. Maybe the trans blue counts on the shield. And why a Rapier? I don't know, but it works in my opinion.

The Bruiser Onua: Yeah, I know, Onua's supposed to be the gentle, wise guy, but ever since we saw the Master version from 2015, I've always liked the idea of him going into some sort of berserker mode. And the shovel hands were always better than that silly hammer.

So where's Lewa and Pohatu? I actually did try making Lewa, but the Miru is the worst mask to try and make at this scale given the existing parts and the ones that I have, but I did try; eventually went with Kopaka to save time (plus the Akaku is the coolest mask, just saying.). Pohatu is also absent because I don't have the necessary part for the hips to go beyond four Toa. Also, the other parts probably don't exist, I never tried.
