For Macro Mondays Member's Choice - Found In The Kitchen.
And you are virtually imprisoned by a raging Pandemic just outside your door - why not have a photography session inside. Of course there are many genres you could have a play with but I enjoy table top photography. Particularly using vintage lenses but any close focusing lens will do. This particular shot is taken using my d850 and a CZ Pancolar 50mm f1.8 and at the widest aperture... one from the archives and not been on any of my old Flickr accounts..
When you arise in the morning,
think of what a precious privilege it is
to be alive
- to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.

My new blog
Macro Mondays 'eyes' theme.
I've done better eye macros of Tasku than this but wanted to take a new shot for the theme. I'm still quite pleased with how this turned out.
Ahhh yes ... its that time of year again when spring is springing up all around us! All my veg seedlings have begun to show signs of life and will soon become our nutritive source of life!
This bursting beauty will become a stunning marbled Red Climbing Bean ........... great for salads and currys!
Actually I heard it snap and looked up and it was bouncing from the movement of just opening....had to get an indoor shot. Still very illiterate about lighting!!! I have no clue.
This one is for Mustangaly.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1 1/2 cups Cooking Oil
2 Eggs
2 cups Sugar
In a large bowl add first three ingredients and beat well.
Then add:
2 tsps Vanilla Flavoring
Combine the following dry ingredients and add to the liquids: Mix by hand until throughly mixed. Batter will be very thick.
3 cups All Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
Then Add:
3 cups chopped Fresh Pears
1 cup chopped Walnuts
Pour into a well greased Bundt pan sprinkled with flour. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours or when toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool in pan before removing cake. This is very important for it is a very moist cake.
I like to refrigerate mine in a covered cake plate. May be served with whipped cream if desired. Enjoy
Wednesday... hand picked 2kg of Strawberries from my local farm
(during this very hot Summers afternoon Strawberry picking session, I probably consumed a further 1kg for which I was weighed after hahahahahahahaha)
Thursday... took 1.5kg of the freshly picked Strawberries, 2 pods of Vanilla and 500g of Jam Sugar plus one sachet of Pectin and boiled in my Jam Pan...
Friday... Added jam to my vintage style gingham lidded jam jars and topped with a further gingham overlay...
Saturday... baked two of my famous light buttery vanilla sponges. Once risen to perfection and golden in colour and cooled, I then added the home made jam, freshly whipped double cream, some sliced strawberries then ate in the Sunshine with a rather large Gin & Tonic....
Sunday... 5 mile run!!!!!.....
During this photographic shoot, my hubby bit the end of my slice of cake, which you can see is missing..... no husbands were hurt during this photographic shoot as penance for stealing the end of the slice of cake but he was not allowed a second slice :)))))))) ... hope you have had a great weekend with Sunshine and Strawberries...
