The First National Model UN Conference (MilliMUN) will be held nationwide at the Fairmont Hotel on February 20-23, 2016.
The work of five United Nations Committees will be simulated within the Conference. The following topics will be debated at the MUN Conference to be held with the parcipitation of 350 young people as diplomats, representing more than 20 universities, academies and schools:
-UN General Assembly (UN GA) – “Strengthening of the UN system and reform of its main institutions”
-UN Security Council (UN SC) –“The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict”
-UNESCO – “Protecting historical sites and cultural heritage from strikes during wars and terrorist attacks”
-UNHCR – “Developing durable solutions to challenges of refugee crisis”
-ITU – “Ensuring security of personal digital data.”
All MUN participants were required to pass through a series of process of screenings, interviews and trainings.
It should be noted that from each UN Committee "The Best Delegate", "The Best Position Document" and "The Best Debater" are to be selected. The winners will be presented with certificates and valuable prizes by the organizers.
The conference is organized within the "Creating new platforms to support active youth engagement in the global policy debates" project which has jointly been implemented between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Azerbaijan in accordance with the Decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, N 348, dated March 19, 2014.
One of the main goals of the project is the institutionalization of the UN Model (hereinafter referred to as MUN) movement in Azerbaijan, the establishment of MUN clubs at the universities, and the creation of MUN network (Model UN Network) that will unify them.
In this regard, a number of activities have already been carried out - presentations about Model UN were held at higher education institutions, MUN clubs were established, conferences were organized at the intra-university and inter-university levels. Relevant promotional work was carried out through social media networks and means of mass media.
About Model UN: Model UN is a real-life simulation of the UN General Assembly, UN Security Council and other UN agencies, guiding the students through the world of diplomacy and cooperation. At the Model UN students conduct debates on current issues of the organization's agenda. Students draft resolutions and strategy plans, negotiate with allies and adversaries, and resolve conflicts in the interest of mobilizing international cooperation to solve problems.

Hong Kong 香港 - A historic Fishing Village named 鲤鱼门 Lei Yue Mun located near 油塘 Yau Tong MTR Station.
The fishing village is located in the far eastern part of Kowloon. It is completely surrounded by high rise apartment yet retains its true native Chinese fisherman style atmosphere with a drop dead view of Hong Kong Island across the Bay!
鲤鱼门已有超过150年历史, 昔日的村民大部分是农夫, 渔民和矿工. 及至六十年代, 渔村开始出现菜馆, 并逐渐发展成为驰名的海鲜美食区.
当时, 大部分顾客会先到鱼市场挑选鲜活海产, 然后交给菜馆烹调. 现在, 鲤鱼门的菜馆数目增加了不少, 顾客除了可在海鲜摊档挑选海产以外, 还可在菜馆点选现烹的海鲜菜.
现今香港大厦林立, 人多车也多, 一片现代化的景象, 大家也很难想像香港在一百年前还是一个落後的渔村. 无疑都市化的生活带给人们很多的方便，但很多人如笔者一样, 有时候也会怕生活太过挤迫. 闹市中要找一点休憩的地方已不容易, 更何况要找寂静平淡的生活? 反樸归真, 偶尔间走到小小的渔村, 或许可以给生活一点喘息.

Gísli Þorláksson Hólabiskup (1657-1684) mun hafa látið reisa Grafarkirkju eða a.m.k. gera á henni endurbætur á síðasta fjórðungi 17. aldar en jörðin var þá í hans eigu. Ekkja hans, Ragnheiður Jónsdóttir (d. 1715) gerði staðinn að miklu miklu menningarsetri í sinni tíð. Grafarkirkju má telja til elstu húsa sem enn standa á Íslandi. Húsið er lokað almenningi.
Gröf er innsti bær á Höfðaströnd í Skagafirði, skammt sunnan Hofsóss. Þar var um skeið mikið menningarsetur. Kirkjan er að líkindum skreytt og e.t.v. einnig smíðuð af Guðmundi Guðmundssyni sem oft er kenndur við Bjarnastaðarhlíð. Hann smíðaði einnig hluta af Brynjólfskirkju í Skálholti og hjó út skírnarfontinn í Hóladómkirkju. Honum er ennfremur eignaður fjöldi fagurra smíðisgripa.
Að byggingarlagi er Grafarkirkja fornfálegust þeirra íslensku torfkirkna sem varðveist hafa og timburgrind hennar hefur sérstöðu meðal torfkirkna. Grindin er með stafverki og kirkjan er í raun eina varðveitta stafkirkja landsins. Hún var aflögð þegar á seinni hluta 18. aldar og hafði verið notuð sem skemma um langa hríð þegar Matthías Þórðarson þjóðminjavörður tók að beita sér fyrir varðveislu hennar árið 1939. Vegna fjárskorts hófust viðgerðir ekki fyrr en undir 1950 og voru þá svo viðamiklar að öllum gömlu viðunum var skipt út en nýir voru sniðnir nákvæmlega eftir þeim gömlu. Form kirkjunnar er því eftir sem áður fornt og upphaflegar vindskeiðar eru geymdar á Þjóðminjasafninu.
Kirkjan er sú eina á landinu sem er í hringlaga kirkjugarði. Garðurinn var endurhlaðinn um 1950 út frá sýnilegum veggleifum. Klukknaportið í garðinum er nýsmíði frá sömu viðgerð og er í stíl við kirkjuna.

Lei Yue Mun (also called Lyemun, Lye Moon Passage or Ly-ee-moon Passage) is a short channel in Hong Kong, between Junk Bay and Victoria Harbour, separating Kowloon and Hong Kong Island.
The lands around the channel are also called Lei Yue Mun. On Kowloon side, it is famous for its seafood market and restaurants in the fishing villages. On the Hong Kong Island side, it has former military defence facilities.
The channel is an important passage in the South China Sea. It is the east gate of Victoria Harbour.
