The National Electric Fly-In was held June 21-23, 2013 at the International Aeromodeling Center. Ninety registered pilots enjoyed three days of electric airplane, helicopter, and multirotor flying, as well as Combat and Pylon Races and more than $1500 worth of raffle prizes. Proceeds from NEFI benefit the Animal Rescue Fund (ARF), National Model Aviation Museum, and the Scott Davis Memorial Fund.

The National Electric Fly-In took place June 10-12 at the International Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana. All types of electric aircraft, including multirotors, helicopters, foamies, scratch-builds, and 3-D airplanes were flown during this annual event. Proceeds supported local charities, the National Model Aviation Museum and the Animal Rescue Fund.

A little step-by-step build of my first multirotor camera platform.
Based on the Hoverthings FTV frame, this setup will allow me to learn to fly FPV as well as build a reliable set of electronics and shoot HD fight footage. Once i'm satisfied, i'll either add my Leica to this frame, or, more likely, build an uprated quad for the purpose.
Step 3: Pop a couple of the rubber washers on the bottom for landing gear, slot in a motor mounting plate and screw on another front leg strut. You now have a finished leg!
Firm, stiff and lightweight. My initial reaction is one of quality and solid construction. Very positive.
