The National Electric Fly-In was held June 21-23, 2013 at the International Aeromodeling Center. Ninety registered pilots enjoyed three days of electric airplane, helicopter, and multirotor flying, as well as Combat and Pylon Races and more than $1500 worth of raffle prizes. Proceeds from NEFI benefit the Animal Rescue Fund (ARF), National Model Aviation Museum, and the Scott Davis Memorial Fund.

A little step-by-step build of my first multirotor camera platform.
Based on the Hoverthings FTV frame, this setup will allow me to learn to fly FPV as well as build a reliable set of electronics and shoot HD fight footage. Once i'm satisfied, i'll either add my Leica to this frame, or, more likely, build an uprated quad for the purpose.
Step 7: All that's left is to pop on the electronics cover plate and you're done! As you can see, the front (left) legs are wider apart than the rear ones. This is because that little shelf at the front will have a wide-angle GoPro Hero3 camera mounted and this configuration stops the props from getting in the picture.
