I have no idea how to be more grateful than I already am to my friends, family, and to total strangers who helped my in my GoFundMe campaign last year.
My MS is not cured (there is no cure), yet it may have been stopped from progressing.
I’m disabled, the damage has been done.
And I’m still around.

This weekend was a fund raising weekend for the Italian Multiple Sclerosis Society. They were selling little either camellias or azaleas
We had an "initial interview" that will hopefully lead to the goal of my wife, Janice, having a service dog. During our time with the non-profit organization, we met adult dogs who have been trained to assist people in various ways. Janice has multiple sclerosis; we went into the interview with ideas about how a service dog could help her, and were also surprised by other tasks that a dog can be trained to perform.
After the interview, we visited with lab puppies in the kennel. If all goes according to plan, Janice will receive a service dog, individually trained for her needs, in 2019.
Near Dhukla Yak Lodge there is a memorial grounds with many stupas or chortens (shown above) in memory of porters and climbers that perished attempting to summit Everest. This one is for Scott Fisher, an American climber who died in the 1996 Everest disaster.
