Shortly after 5 pm Lincoln Fire Rescue were dispatched to the area of the South Service Road and Tufford Road in Beamsville for multiple 9-1-1 callers reporting a vehicle was on fire. A thick black smoke column was visible quite a distance from the scene. Arriving crews encountered a fully-involved pick-up truck that was later learned to have been a stolen vehicle located on the access road in-between the Service Rd and Tufford Rd. The fire was impacting hydro wires above the vehicle and had also spread into the grass on each side of the roadway. The occupant(s) of the vehicle were nowhere to be found where emergency services arrived on scene. The circumstances surrounding the stolen nature of the vehicle remain unknown at the time of this posting.
