A postcard bearing no publisher's name that was posted in Newton Abbott on Wednesday the 23rd. May 1956 to:
Master Anthony Nevard,
146, Parkway,
Welwyn Garden City,
Herts.
The message on the back of the card was as follows:
"We are living in a farm
near the Golden Lion.
There are some ducks,
chicks and calves you
would like - hand milking
too.
Went to the sea yesterday -
very hot - my nose and
face are like a beetroot!
Much love,
Veronica".
So what else happened on the day that the card was posted?
Not a lot, although the number one hit song in the UK at the time was 'No Other Love' by Ronnie Hilton.
I made the background white using a brush in Lightroom which gave the edges a softer look. I them made the dog black and white while keeping the trees in color. I was trying to go for how we see the world vs how some animals do. I also used a brush to make the eyes and nose stand out more.
This boy was 40 days old.He is very gentle and quiet ,I didn't hear his crying while I took photo for him.
