0.2s exposures shot in burst mode with a tripod and a shutter remote depressed from around the apex of the rocket's flight to the dying of the last embers. The exposures were combined by taking the max with ImageMagick's convert, and cropped with gimp.

This one reminds me of two birds with mating plumage. One of the exposures is brighter than the others to avoid having the white parts just being a blur.

An experimental series of images in a multiple exposure style, created in a variety of ways.

I wandered around my yard using my canon eor r and my lensbaby velvet 56 with settings for 5 shot multiple exposure. I didn't do much post processing but did add filters with the software on my computer. I'm happy with some of the patterns that were captured.

Day 20 of an Unknown Number

"Image 20"

Today's image came to me when nothing else would. I had planned to backlight an orange peel being squeezed (revealing the squirts of citric acid), but that is easier said than done. Going slightly out of my mind, I found this tiny gourd. Knowing that simply photographing a minuscule pumpkin would not be very interesting, I decided to play around a bit with it. This is a multiple exposure of focus racking. That is to say, during the first exposure I was focused on the back side of the vegetable. For the second exposure, I focused on the stem. Lastly, I focused on the near top edge for the final exposure. My lighting was a strip light, tilted horizontally, just above the pumpkin. Because I used a macro lens for the image, the change in focus is very noticeable. Because of the way in which a macro lens works (and distorts), with each focal adjustment, the lens sees vastly different images, though the lens has not moved. Since each frame was strobed, the previous frame is not only blurred, but also slightly ghosted. That is a poor explanation, and it is late. Thanks for stopping in!!

Oops triple exposed. This was the first of my long exposures with the cable release. Just a test from the office window.
