Art project thinking about multifaceted identity and being pulled in different directions. This is a response to the New York City lifestyle and was influenced by my daily subway commute.
At Vuno Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation we offer physiotherapy for a range of work related injuries. Our physiotherapists are highly skilled and able to treat a vast range of conditions and enable a sustained and efficient return to work process to be maintained.
Bryce Resort's compact ski/snowboard hill in the Shenandoah Valley doubles as a mountain-bike course in the summer, as seen in the rickety-looking wooden structures below.
This is a 2-shot multiple exposure (combined in-camera).
The first exposure (of me) is a static shot with flash.
Shutter speed: 1s
Focal length: 18mm
The second exposure (of the lights) I zoomed to 105mm whilst panning to the right. I also manually took the shot out of focus prior to taking the exposure and turned off the main light in the room.
Shutter speed: 3s
Post Processing:
Adobe Camera Raw - cropping, playing with colours and dark levels etc.
PS - smudging the central point of the lights to take out the lamp-stand.
Today, I found myself in the company of some real assholes. Full of bad habits, foul language and a really annoying predilection for pretentious pedantry.
This project was an attempt to display fashion photography in collaboration with nature but to also take influence from the history of fashion, such as Edward Steichen and Baron de Meyer.
Played around with multiple exposure & the Daisies at our one picnic stop on Day 2 ... somewhere between Dryden Ontario & Thunder Bay ! Still have to play with that technique more, but it felt good to trip the shutter that many times in a short timespan !! ...
