As you drive up into Yosemite from CA Hwy 395 on Tioga Road (CA Hwy 120), this little body of water can be found between Ellery Lake and Tioga Lake. From the road you can't see much of it and so it is often missed by visitors. To me this is an iconic setting for the high country of Yosemite National Park. Note there are no cars or other people in the shot. That's a bonus!

Nunatac Nature Trail is near it. The trail is named for those peaks which were not ground down into domes by the glaciers which carved the park.

Nikon F65. An Ilford film, but I can't remember if it was Pan F Plus 50, Delta 100, or FP4 Plus 125. It was definitely an Ilford film as I only used Ilford films for B&W shots on this trip.

the monkeys would of gone stir fry crazy if they found them self's here

No multiple invitations please. No flashy and glittery awards (esp. with hearts) and invitations to groups I am not a member of, thanks.

I'm back from a 2-3 day trip to Beelitz-Heilstatten (for interesting info about this place, see set). It was an emotional ride because first I was very happily taking photos of glorious buildings and all their details, and the next moment an accident happened and I broke my 18-70 Nikkor lens and the D80 body too. I could still use the body, though it needed a shake now and then, but after that I had to rely on my 50 mm and 90 mm only.

Many more pics to come. Hope you enjoy. Best seen large on black.

p.s. will try to catch up with all the pics of you that i have missed and shouldn't have :-)

I am starting to put photography projects online for people to try. The multiple image one I am doing with some of my students right now is the first one.

This screengrab is the PicLens slideshow of the gallery of shots I have put up to help illustrate the project brief.

Some will be just for students, some will be open to anyone.

Why not give it a shot?

Details and a gallery of thirty or so images I have shot in the past [which hopefully will serve as inspiration] are all here:
