The fine-tuners are still occupying the Chevron. Eric Stuart has already moved out onto Market in his Gazella GT,* revving it up, which only brings a sneer from Rocco Botti.
Rocco is in his Monoposto. For Rocco, the classic, single seat speedster is the pure racer. Now, others would point out that a true purist monoposto would have open wheels, but Rocco practices selective purity.
There's no questioning his speed though. Rocco's custom Monoposto is powered by a BMW S68 4.4-Liter Twin-Turbocharged V8, generating 630 HP. On the track he's been clocked at 192 MPH/309 KPH.
However, Market Street is not an open track and, while Rocco's Monoposto wins more stoplight races than he loses, other cars geared for acceleration often leave him.

Here are all of the gem and metal options included in the multipack.
On the left are the single colors which are also sold separately or in 3 packs (each color includes 3 gem textures + all metal options).
In the middle are the metal options without shine (shine can be turned on in the script menu).
On the right are the bonus gem textures for the multipack. The top group of 9 have matching outfits included.

Next puzzle from the multipack. Really, really like it. It was a bit more difficult than the previous one and unfortunately of similar quality. Again, I had to glue a dozen of puzzles before assembling, mainly in the sky area where probably the previous pyuzzlers where correcting many times. Each time when you correct the piece, you have to take it out carefully with both hands not to destroy the knobs. ... Despite those problems I really enjoyed the puzzle for their picture :)

I define "Modern" here as being Joes that are not made up of any body parts from Vintage Era (1982-1994) figures.
MIA: 1) Grunt (Again!! That's right, kids, my collection is Grunt-less. But as a child I had normal Grunt and the Tan Grunt too). There was a 25th style version of him, but he came in an overpriced TRU Exclusive 3-pack with 2 other figures I had no interest in owning. Also the figure was not all that great, so there was no way I was going to buy that 3-pack just to get him.
2) Short Fuse: He came in a Target exlclusive battle pack which was really, really expensive because it came with several vehicles. Would've loved to have owned it, but I can't justify spending that much money on this hobby all in one shot like that.Daddy has bills to pay!
3) Zap: He was in an internet exclusive multipack with lots of other awesome figures that filled in some of the gaps in the 25th Anniversarry line after it ended. Unfortunately, even though this pack wasn't really that pricey, it came out at a time when I was pretty strapped for cash. I did eventually end up getting some of the figures in that pack on the secondary market, but just never got around to getting Zap.
KIA: 1) Breaker: He was killed in the classic Marvel GI Joe # 109, in which many a Joe bit the dust. A filecard for him from 1997 tries to claim that he was not killed, but merely badly wounded, but nobody pays any attention to that silly filecard, every comic book story that that tries to maintain continuity with the Marvel series keeps him dead.
2) Flash (my first Joe- oh no!!) Died in GI Joe vol 2 #25 whilst blowing up some stuff on Cobra Island.
I really like most of these figures, although a few of them suffer from range of motion issues in their elbows and hips, which would be corrected with later figures made in the 25th style, but at the point that I aquired these figures,these design kinks had not all been worked out yet. I particularly enjoy the fact that Breaker comes with bubblegum, and looks like himself.

Diorama - Mossend District General Hospital. Built using Kingsway Models kit of Holby Accident & Emergency department from BBC show Casualty.
Depicted in this layout is Mossend’s Emergency Department, with the public entrance in the centre and doors direct to the Resuscitation area and Ambulance only entrance to the right by the marked bays. The two bays closest to this door are marked as “Resus Only” and are designated for ambulances who have called ahead with a Stand By call, pre-alerting Resus staff of their arrival. One of SAS’ Mercedes Sprinter vehicles is parked in the first bay, and one half of the crew is seen standing nearby. This figure came from a cheap multipack of generic pedestrian figures. After painting this one in all over white, I went on to use paint pens, including hi-vis yellow and silver for his jacket. Painting him into SAS A&E uniform. I have subsequently painted a number of other figures into this uniform, minus the jacket, and one figure who now wears the light blue of the old Patient Transport Service (PTS) uniform.
Mossend also has an Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) for same day and GP admissions, the door for this is to the left. Two Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) Urgent Tier vehicles are parked outside the AAU. Both of these models are code 3 adaptions of a general release. They have been given SAS livery to depict older style Urgent Tier vehicles. Urgent Tier are part of A&E operations but utilise a mixed crew of an Ambulance Technician as attendant (clinician) and a CERAD trained Ambulance Care Assistant from the PTS side of operations as driver. These crews respond to GP requests for admissions within 1-4 hours, in addition to inter-hospital transfers, urgent hospice admissions and more. Because the driver is emergency response authorised, and the Technician has Airway management and manual defibrillation training, UT crews can additionally be allocated to Immediately Life Threatening (red or purple coded) calls as a first response to be backed up by a full A&E crew with Paramedic onboard.
Parked in the centre of the picture are two further emergency service vehicles. The local Roads Policing Unit (RPU) or “Traffic Cops” are represented here with a Volvo V70 traffic car. Potentially linked to both this sleek Police car and the Sprinter van in Resus bay one, is the blue light BMW of the Trauma Team also parked in front of the Emergency Department.
Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services in Scotland are provided by the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS), a special Health Board of the greater National Health Service (NHS) Scotland. SAS provides these services throughout all of mainland Scotland and the Islands. Emergency Medical Services are provided by the Accident & Emergency branch, providing Double Crewed Ambulances typically formed of a Paramedic and Technician, but which can be formed of double Tech or Para crews. Single Paramedics in cars, motorbikes or bicycles are Paramedic Response Units, used to provide immediate pre-hospital care to patients, or treating and discharging at scene. Also part of the A&E branch is the Urgent Tier service, using crews formed of an Ambulance Technician and Care Assistant, Urgent Tier convey patients who have been urgently referred to Hospital. The patients General Practitioner can request admission within a 1-4 hour timeframe. As such Urgent Tier vehicles use their emergency warning systems less than standard A&E crews. Due to the presence of a qualified Technician however UT resources can be used as a first responder to immediately life threatening calls.
SAS also has an Emergency Medical Retrieval Service (ScotSTAR), bringing Medical and Nursing care to patients as they transfer between Hospitals. Scotland is the only part of the UK to provide fully government funded Air Ambulance services, with two fixed wing and two rotary aircraft. They are assisted by the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance who provide additional cover with two helicopters of their own.
Special Operations Response Team (SORT) provide an emergency response to complex rescue, CBRN, terrorist attacks and other such incidents.
Scheduled Care is provided by the Patient Transport Service, the non-emergency branch of SAS. Using a variety of vehicles from cars, people carriers, minibuses and minibus conversion ambulances, PTS provides transport to and from outpatient clinics, for planned admissions and discharges. Staff crewing PTS vehicles are called Ambulance Care Assistants (ACA). They are experts in moving and handling, whereas A&E crews frequently remove patients from houses using equipment such as carry chairs, ACA’s must be adept at taking their patients back up stairs as well as extrications.
As with the majority of healthcare in Scotland, ambulance and emergency medical services are free at the point of use. Funded by National Insurance contributions made by those in work, Scots are extremely proud and defensive of our NHS. We generally believe that everyone should pay towards the common fund to ensure no-one has their life destroyed by medical costs, as illness and injury are not a choice. Having worked in the NHS and with SAS myself, I have resuscitated a man having a heart attack, conveyed him to Hospital, watched as Coronary Care staff removed the blockage from his artery and left the man sitting up in bed in CCU. Knowing that he will be repatriated to his nearest General Hospital for Coronary Rehab and will go home to ongoing care in the community. That man could take time to recover, safe in the knowledge that no crippling bill or endless fights with healthcare insurance would befall him. That is our NHS, that is why we love it and cannot understand the US system.

They seemed to have everything out when we passed by (boat just visible on the right, which was behind the UMM). It was a bit like a Majorette emergency services multipack!
World Tour 2013 - 2014 - day 276
My goal being traveling the old way, without any plane, I decided to leave Asia to Africa by boat. For that I embarked in Port Klang, Malaysia, on a freighter boat from en french company, CMA-CGM. The vessel was 350m long, was coming from Shanghai and bound to go to Italia by Suez canal. I aimed to leave at Djibouti but since this stop was not possible I would leave at Port-Said, Egypt, just at the end of Suez Canal.
On this pic boats are entering Suez Canal in a row. The man on the picture is the local pilot. In each halt a local pilot come onboard in aid for the maneuver since each harbor is specific. The funny thing in Suez Canal is that it is almost necessary to give him a cigaret multipack and in addition to that it is mandatory to let a small bazaar being installed on the deck during the time of the canal drive through. After in Egypt I will discover the ultimate bakchich for hassling, on the same level as Djibouti.

Because ASDA change the product mix of their Maisto based Adventure Wheels range so infrequently especially when it comes to multipacks I rarely take much notice of whether they introduce new stuff. For whatever reason I actually checked through their stock of five vehicle sets on a recent visit and was VERY happy to FINALLY get hold of this Ford Focus ST! I knew of its existence ever since it was launched probably before the similar looking Realtoy ST equivalent a few years back and have always hoped that one day it would show up here in the U.K. and finally that moment has arrived. OK I'm sure there are plenty of collectors wondering what all the fuss is about especially considering its cheapo status which lacks an interior but overall its still a great little miniature version of one of Britains best selling Hot Hatches. Its a fully licensed product hence its detailed lights and badging front and rear and theres certainly no complaints about its metallic yellow finish either, I just hope it appears as a single too in the near future. Mint and boxed.
