Middle of the market area. In my former life as a planner, this was a great of example of ideal urban living. The aesthetics, of course, would be improved with buried utility lines and ordinances to prevent visual blight. The aspect of live, work, and play, however are a planner's dream. The variety of housing in this small block or so of the city that ranged from multi-unit housing, as seen here to larger homes right around the corner is a unique mix. Residents used their house fronts as businesses so the streets became the market, flooded with commerce. The multimodes of transportation could be improved with more public transportation, but at least it wasn't all cars, but a mix of motorcycles, pedicabs, lots of pedestrians. The scale of markets was appropriate. This market worked for this neighborhood, but markets were littered throughout the city, all accessible by their neighborhoods. I was in the middle of a quad space here, where transportation means are offered. We used the area to get oriented, because we almost got lost everyday. My instincts usually got us home though.

These kits are pretty much impossible to acquire these days since Kanga stopped production. They are supposed to start selling the R2Pro again but I don't know about the T2. The T2 is a Multimode Phasing Exciter that was published in QST back in Apr 1993

Any how, these represent a lot of effort from some very talented engineers working in their free time.

There are no two kits that end up looking alike because a lot of the end product details are left up to the builder. I have seen some very elaborate R2Pro receivers..
