Dust control is an integral part of the Festool system and design philosophy. That is why the CT 48 is equipped with tool-triggered auto start functionality so that when you plug your tool into the supplied outlet socket, the vacuum cycles with the tool. This represents greater efficiency in dust extraction, noise reduction, and with less energy consumption versus a constant-on unit. Variable suction force allows you to regulate the suction based on your tasks. A small detail sander may not require the full 137 CFM of this unit, but a router may require it.
The A-6 Intruder was designed to serve two primary roles: One, to replace the aging A-1 Skyraider and supplement the A-4 Skyhawks in the carrier-based strike role, and two, to give the U.S. Navy a genuine all-weather strike aircraft. The requirement was issued in 1957, and Grumman’s A2F-1 design was selected, with the first flight occurring in 1960. In 1962, just before entering the fleet in 1963, the Intruder was redesignated as the A-6A.
The A-6 was designed to hit targets with pinpoint accuracy in adverse weather conditions, day or night, similar to what the USAF would later require for the F-111 Aardvarks. For this reason, it was built around the Digital Integrated Attack/Navigation Equipment (DIANE). It used three radar systems to constantly update the Internal Navigation System (INS) and provide attack data to the bombardier/navigator sitting in the right seat. The system itself proved to be very complicated, and it would take years to perfect. Since the weather and nighttime conditions would be the Intruder’s primary defense, no internal armaments were equipped on the aircraft, even though it could carry an impressive 18,000-pound payload.
The Intruder was committed early to the Vietnam War, which showed the flaws in the DIANE system and a more lethal one in the bomb delivery system, which tended to set off the bombs prematurely, destroying the aircraft. Gradually, improvements were made, and despite losing 84 Intruders in Vietnam, it proved to be a highly effective aircraft. Until the bugs were ironed out of the F-111As in 1971, the A-6 remained the only American aircraft that could attack during monsoon season.
Specialized A-6Bs were also explicitly produced for Iron Hand defense suppression missions and A-6Cs for anti-trucking operations on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. All three variants were replaced by the newer A-6Es beginning in 1971: this replaced DIANE with a more advanced solid-state computer and the three radars with a single AN/APQ-148 multimode radar. In 1979, the A-6E was further modified by installing a Target Recognition Attack Multisensor (TRAM), consisting of a turret in the nose containing FLIR linked to the radar and a new bomb computer. Aside from making the already accurate A-6 even more deadly, it also allowed the Intruder to drop laser-guided bombs, hit moving targets with bombs, and use passive radar to attack a target.
The A-6s would find themselves once more heavily deployed during the First Gulf War, flying 4,700 sorties for the loss of four aircraft; its final roles would be supporting U.S. Marines in Somalia in 1991 and UN forces in Bosnia in 1995. By then, surviving A-6Es had been partially upgraded to allow them to fire all newer guided weapons in the inventory (the AGM-84 Harpoon, AGM-65 Maverick, and AGM-88 HARM). At the same time, most of the fleet had also received composite wings.
Grumman further proposed an updated version, designated as the A-6F, with new avionics and engines. The U.S. Navy rejected this to replace the Intruder with the canceled stealthy A-12A Avenger II, then the F/A-18C/D Hornet. The last of the A-6Es left U.S. Navy service by February of 1997; the U.S. Marine Corps had retired theirs in 1993. Older, non-modified aircraft were sunk as artificial reefs off the coast of Florida, while others remained at AMARC for eventual scrapping or preservation.
This A-6E, BuNo 155713, was originally built as an A-6A in 1969 and made its first deployment with VA-52 ("Knightriders") aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63). While aboard the USS Constellation (CV-64) with VA-165 ("Boomers"), it participated in Operation Linebacker strikes against Vietnam in the spring of 1972.
In 1977, it was upgraded to an A-6E and would spend most of the 1980s back with VA-165 and again aboard the Kitty Hawk. Its final assignment was with VA-128 ("Golden Intruders"), the Replacement Air Group unit for Pacific Fleet A-6 squadrons at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington. It was retired from Navy service in 1995, and after a short period in storage, it was donated to PASM later that year.

Two bicycles fill up the bike parking on Eugene's BRT. The seat to the
left flips up when more space is needed. However, these two cyclists
explained that if they had only installed hooks and braces to hang bikes
that the space allocated could more than double its capacity. As it is,
as soon as the nice weather comes (it will come, even in Eugene!) the
bus won't be able to handle the volume of cyclists wanting to bring
bikes on board. In Fort Collins we'll have to anticipate this when we
take delivery of the buses and make sure there are hooks to hang 5-6
bikes on each side of the center aisle.

3 UK Citizens' Band Radios and an FT290R 2 metre multimode. There was a Diamond X30 in the attic for 2 metres and 70cms, plus a short antenna for CB. When I started with the 290 , all had were it's integral quarter wave, and a flexible version of the same. The 290 outstripped any contact distance I'd ever had on the CBs.

The 2 metre and 70 cm multimodes don't see a kit if action. Even less action on 6 metres. Once in gthe blue moon on 4 metres. As a flat dweller I stick mainly to the key or psk31 for TVI reasons
After having launched the original Nikon FM in 1977, succeeded by the FM2 in 1982, the FM2n followed one year later in 1983 together with the electronic FE2 and Nikon’s first multimode auto exposure FA.
As the Nikkormat accompanied the early F and F2 and the more recent F100 accompanied the F5, the FM/FE/FA cameras were the daily companion of the F3. The Nikon FM2n is one of the longest serving Nikon SLR camera models – from its launch in 1983 untill 2001 when it was replaced by the hybrid FM3A.
Differences between the FM2 and FM2n were minor. Nikon changed the focusing screens to the type II Brightscreen screens and a refinement was made in the sync speed from 1/200 sec to 1/250 sec. The X200 setting was removed. Also, the hot shoe was of a slightly different design, with a squared-off center cutout for the base of the hot shoe. The mirror box was redesigned to add a light trap that flipped up when the mirror flipped down. Around 1989/1990 the honeycomb pattern shutter was replaced with an aluminium blade-type curtain.
The FM2n was available in either black or chrome finish. The camera is fully mechanical; its meter (and only its meter) requires two PX76 batteries or one CR 1/3N lithium battery. There is a 1–1/4000 sec shutter speed range, plus B; and an ISO range of 12–6400. Focusing screens are interchangeable (Type III screens for the FM3A can be used). The MD-12 motordrive was optional. The camera can be used with the older MD-11, however with restrictions.

Basically, the Ekdahl Moisturizer is a spring reverb where the springs are exposed so they can be played/hit/fiddled with. As well as being capable of creating sound in itself, you can of course also play sound through the springs like a regular spring reverb - this makes for happy-fun-time finger-modulation of the reverb on whatever audio that's going through it. On top of this there's an analog multimode filter that can be used to attenuate or exaggerate certain frequencies in the sound, this is real handy while playing the springs as you can - for instance - cut all the highs and just make thunderous doomy sounds or do the opposite; cut all the lows and make that ear piercing high frequency special love. Also, it incorporates an LFO that's internally routable to the filter and that also has some external routing-stuff. The Ekdahl Moisturizer has tons of CV / Expression pedal options on the back for even more hillarious moments. The Moisturizer is a mono unit.
