Multifunction radial arm saw table with sliding top. The small wing-screws seen recessed under the top release a rear clamping mechanism, allowing the rear section and stop to be repositioned. The two guides seen hanging on the front face board fit into the top of the table and rotate in a 90 degree arc on each side, used for angle cuts while keeping the head fixed in it's home position.

Yves Béhar believes that design brings stories to life. By designing the XO laptop, a durable, multifunction, economical, and power‐efficient computer, he means to realize his dream of providing one laptop for every child and thereby bringing life to their stories.
The XO laptop is specifically intended for use by children in developing countries and remote locations without conventional elctrical power sources. Yves Béhar and his fuseproject team used design visualization and modeling software to explore designs that led to more sustaiable, space‐saving, and time‐saving innovations, including communications antennae that perform double‐duty as a latch. With simpler design and far fewer parts, the laptops promise fewer breakdowns and less need for repairs. Fuseproject also explored several alternative power sources, including solar panels and kinetic devices, such as this hand crank.
Béhar and fuseproject also conceived and developed a distinctive, child‐friendly appearance that encouraged immediate, intuitive usage. The swivel hinge also enables the child owner to use the XO as a laptop, game console, book, and more.

Fuji HD-M with date. I bought this camera at spring 1990 at Daiei department store, 21-3, Narimasu 2-Chōme, Itabashi, Tokyo
Japan 175-0094.
"HD-M" stands for "Heavy Duty -Motor". It was designed to resist to water immersions and difficult weather or environmental conditions. I did most of my photos in Japan with it during the year 1991-1990 and used many years after. 30 years after. It still functions in full including the flash and dating back. The dating back was however limited to the year 2019.

S99-01416 (January 1999) --- This "fish-eye" view illustrates NASA's Multifunction Electronic Display Subsystem (MEDS), otherwise known as "glass cockpit." It represents a number of important modifications that have been accomplished on the Orbiter's flight deck. This photo is actually a recent one of the fixed base Space Shuttle mission simulator in the Johnson Space Center's (JSC) Mission Simulation and Training Facility. The fixed base simulator has been outfitted with MEDS to be used by flight crews for training. The Space Shuttle Atlantis is the only Orbiter so far outfitted with MEDS and will fly with the new display system for the first time late this year on STS-101. All of the Orbiters will eventually be outfitted with the new system, which enhances safety on the Orbiter by providing multiple backup display functions and brings the Space Shuttle cockpit displays up to date with technology that is now common in many commercial airliners.
