I went and bought myself an early birthday present last night...thanks to Uncle Sam for sending my tax return back promptly.

I've been eyeing the MacBook Pro laptops for a while, and with the latest addition of a 2.5GHz processor, a hard drive capacity boost, and the multi-touch trackpad, I decided it was time to bite the bullet and pick one up. I've owned an Apple computer before (hey, I made it through college getting a degree in engineering with an Apple!), and my parents have had Macs for as long as I can remember, so I'm not a stranger to the brand.

So far it's a beautiful machine...I got it up and running in very little time - maybe 15 minutes from opening the box and plugging it in? I was up on the wireless network quite easily and installing Aperture 2 on the computer, too.

I love Apple. :)
