The electromagnetic spectrum multitouch, mulituser table exhibit is a digital representation of the EM spectrum from radio waves to gamma rays. A custom high-resolution, ultra-wide format multitouch table accommodates several visitors at once, as they can view images in different wavelengths.
The table has a 100″ surface and an 86″ viewable area with a super-wide 16:5 aspect ratio. The images change in real-time as they are moved across the table, allowing visitors to see how the object can be perceived differently in each wavelength of the EM spectrum.

I've been eyeing the MacBook Pro laptops for a while, and with the latest addition of a 2.5GHz processor, a hard drive capacity boost, and the multi-touch trackpad, I decided it was time to bite the bullet and pick one up. I've owned an Apple computer before (hey, I made it through college getting a degree in engineering with an Apple!), and my parents have had Macs for as long as I can remember, so I'm not a stranger to the brand.
So far it's a beautiful machine...I got it up and running in very little time - maybe 15 minutes from opening the box and plugging it in? I was up on the wireless network quite easily and installing Aperture 2 on the computer, too.
I love Apple. :)
Wayang Kulit (Shadow Puppets) is the best known from the Javanese puppetry traditions and can be used to describe any puppet theatre using flat leather puppets which cast shadows on to a screen. Wayang Kulit is an interactive application that I have designed and developed for my project in MA Design Interactive Media course. The project designed displays visual puppets and invites the user to interact with these puppets by using touch gestures and this creates an experience with direct manipulation of objects.
The project is aimed to create a theatrical user experience and represents a story as users interact with these puppets using a touch screen.

之前一直沒有寫blog的習慣,但最近實在發生太多事情,不是用照片就能紀錄下這些心情的,寫在部落格又懶得維護;倒是經營flickr相簿滿有心得的,希望以後能將想說的話,所見所聞都紀錄在這上面來勉勵和提醒健忘的自己,千萬別忘自菲薄或是失去自信,時常保持謙虛和自省的習慣,畢竟以我現在的知識能力基礎距離理想的那片天還太遠.
回到9/29那篇文章,當時跟Beth兩人剛處理完申請,身邊滿多老師同事開始注意到我申請留學的事情,大家也很積極的給我們一些看法,像是Jackie推薦的NYU, ITP實在太貴了,但若是單純申請設計類的學程,一來擔心唸出來會沒有專業性,二來申請初期需要作品集也滿令人頭大的... 當時相當大膽的就申請NUS新加坡國大這一間學校, 在等待期間內心真的非常煎熬就像鐘擺ㄧ樣,幻象申請上了去天堂,沒上會有多慘之類的自己嚇自己. 好在結果一切順利～ But我深信好戲在後頭,申請上了之後接踵而來的課業壓力恐怕會像2012的海嘯襲擊而來...
這個set(相簿)的前三張圖,其實是想表達我對新加坡的觀點轉變,一開始站在自己國家的角度看這個東南亞國家,去旅遊的目的只是想體驗看看亞洲城市的生活形態(個人偏好留在亞洲工作),第一印象表面上看起來還不錯,之後會怎樣我暫時還無法評論,也不會因為要到NUS念書就產生過度的遐想,只能說人生多看看開拓視野罷了！
為什麼我要去念資工系的理由 和 對於系統整合的看法：
這篇文章的誕生還有一個因素, 自從大學畢業之後個性上的轉變稍嫌急躁了一些, 我想這與工作也有很大的關係, 比較急功近利而忘卻根本的重要性, 倒是身旁朋友和台南路人的作息提醒了我這點, 促使我開始靜下心來; 許多偉大的作品(畫作,程式,系統,網站)都是一種高度整合性的工作! 這是不可否認的, 無論學術界or業界都容易忽略這點導致於產品化出現嚴重瑕疵, 甚至嚴重阻礙創新過程的演進, 尤其在未來高速開發速度與外在環境變遷下, 對於競爭力的定義隨之改變, 即將被電腦取代和改變的事情越來越多了!!!
雖然我自己大學時代對資工領域沒下工夫, 當時腦袋還停留在寫軟體不值錢這種思維上, 熟知應該是=>沒有這些軟體整合, 產品根本賣不出去; 未來這一年2010希望能沈浸在資工訓練環境中,持續對於augmented reality, multi-touch, interaction design...etc, 等方面培養基礎知識～ 加油!!!
