The August Break 2016
Day 29
In my kitchen cupboard, I only have mugs that I really like and I use them all. However this one with the butterfly decoration is my favourite breakfast mug. It was given to me by my son many years ago and he knew that the symbolism of butterflies was important to me.
The butterfly is a symbolism of transformation because of its impressive process of metamorphosis. The butterfly is also associated with the human soul.
so after the mug rug trhat grew, I came up with another idea, and of course I couldn't leave it at just one mug rug, I had to do the inverse as well! I do like how they came out. Stitch the binding down and they will be in the mail! Do they work for you, partner?
"To err is human, but to really screw things up you need a computer." Mug given to me by my husband almost 20 years ago. I was using a Commodore 64--trying to calculate grades for my class.
Hey, It's a Mug Rug!
Dimensions: 4"x8"
Fabric: Heather Bailey Freshcut, Kei Dot in Pink, and Michael Miller Pin Dot in Apple
I made these this morning to use this month :)
I used my silhouette machine and scraps of vinyl. It's old glass paint (bit gluggy) but I'm going to try an oil based Sharpie on my next project (because it's so FUN!).
If anyone wants the SVG (I think) file, I'm MORE than happy to post it here - it's all my own work and although the LOAD is a la Robert Indiana, it's not the same font. I don't think Lain would mind.
It got it with the present !!
auau...The limit of one month has come... :(
Zooomr might be used for the BLOG update.
I found this for 30 cents at a thrift store in Ohio in the late 90's. No markings. If anyone has a clue about it's origins let me know.
