This mug is a two cupper, and should keep me happy while I read another book from my Alaskan collection.

Finished for the Scrappy Mug Rug Swap. I'm really happy with the result. I love the wonky star and I know my partner is going to smile when she sees it.
While making this, I fell in love with the green polka dot fabric. It's Robert Kaufman Mingle. Well, I happened to find it in a LQS yesterday and bought the last 2.5 yds from the bolt!
I have to give all the fabric selection credit to Fabricworm dot com for putting together their prism bundle. I LOVE this grouping and can't wait to work with the scraps.
Where I used to work if you happened to leave your mug out on view it often went walkies resulting in regular email circulars to the company from people trying to reclaim their beloved mugs. This practice was banned by senior management so to defend against the loss of my mug I took a picture of it so that it could be printed and stuck up with a big notice. A great use of company resources I reckon!
Spunky little things Kestrels... I've seen them do this to Short eared owls too. The barn owl managed to hang on to its catch I'm glad to say as it's feeding young and with all the wind and rain we've been having things could get very messy back at the nest.

These were bought on Xmas 2006 in Luxembourg, they were sold with Xmas candies, but I didn't buy them for candies, of course !! but we ate them :p
No it's not real, just bit of fun with photoshop. A Canon 580 flash off camera right and a 460 to the left, both with diffusers and set high enough to light the inside of the mug and also to cast the shadows in the right place to add to the realism. Explore Jan 2 #91.
On a dull wet'n'windy day it's always a good idea to stop indoors and have a nice hot cup of tea......

(22nd November 2011) - If yesterday was to show me working hard, then today I was being lazy. Well, I was supposed to meet up with Tom for some tea after work, but that didn't work out, so I ended up getting home, watching another poor Man Utd game and then realised I've not taken a photo today!
So I took one to try sum up the day, and took this one. Yesterday I was hard at work, today I was lazy in every sense of the word!
I made this mug using ceramics transfers for the NEST show opening on 2 July at Curious, Whetstone & Frankley.
