The (30 feet* of) snow (that fell this winter) is melting!! I'm very glad I have my plaid galoshes to splash around in. This picture reminds me of a song I learned at my first job in Norway - working at an activity center. We sang a LOT. One of the songs was Alf Prøysen's The first dandelion which talks about the first dandelion of the year looking at his reflection in a mudpuddle. It's a very cute song. And we're a long way away from the year's first dandelion, but... I'll pretend to be one until that day comes!
* This is a bit of an exaggeration.
Fred in the arena after a rain storm.
He really does love the mud, probably because he's grey. Grey horses secretly know how tired our arms get brushing all the gunk off them, so they really grind it in there.
It's true, and you know it.
My wife and I enjoy visiting Luther Britt Park. Today was a gorgeous day so I took a camera and visited the park.
(Friday, 23 July 2010) My friend’s 13-month-old son, Ethan, wasted no time in finding this mud puddle!
we were talking about raindrops, and how amazing the ripples are. then, it RAINED (and kept raining 'til now...)
A funny little bunch of individuals. Right as I was about to enter their the Mudpuddle Music Shop these people came pouring out.
They were a flash mob going around playing music for people. I snapped this shot right away and then they asked if I wanted to follow them around for a bit, so I did.
It was pretty hilarious. They went into this tiny nail salon. All these people jammed in there playing music, plus me taking pictures. The looks on the customers faces was priceless. They got quite a nice tip though.
of course there was sun, cloudy skies, rain, then sun again. all in 45 min.
