Today was a totally gorgeous day -- the sun was shining and the lighting was perfect. So I had to take Kumiko and Nessie out into the garden for some photo's.
Really I just wanted to upload to say thank you so much to everybodies encouraging comments on my previous photo, it really means a lot and made me smile. :)

Purchased the seeds last autumn planted in my greenhouse for these beauties. A donation is made to the Anthony Nolan trust for every packet sold, Anthony died in 1979 age 7years.

In memory of Oliver Postgate who died this week. I absolutely loved his TV shows, particularly The Clangers and Bagpuss, and was very sad to hear the news. I heard him interviewed a couple of times and he seemed like such a lovely down-to-earth man. Thank you Oliver for the happy memories. I hope my daughter enjoys your programmes when she's a little older.

Several hundred people came out to honour Doreen at her birthday party this afternoon. Friends and family arrived from near and far to express their love for this unconventional lady. Over the years Doreen has touched many people – as performing actress (26 screen credits), in her nursing career, and as friend and neighbour.
The celebration was held at the Squamish Golf Course.
You know, as I was shooting this all I could think was how I always told my kids (and my Mother always told us) "don't play with your food"!! lol This is Special K, Red Berries and one of the berries was a perfect heart. Mine...to you! The colors on the spoon are from my monitor.
I just wanted to thank you all my friends for your kind words and continual encouragement! It is truly appreciated!

Hey, anybody notice something going on with their photo's uploaded here? If you look at the bottom of the above post, there is a black line and 2 orange marks that are not on the orignal??? I saw one of my other photo's from a while ago is also funky. It looks like 2 shots of the same are on top of each other.. top one is just offset to right?? Is it just me? Ok, a day later it's gone! ??

My sweet, incomparably wonderful pussycat Abby passed away yesterday from cancer. She was 18, which is a good age for a cat, but I wish she could be with me forever.
Two weeks ago, my lovely Rose passed away, and my son, has made a tribute page for his mum. You do not have to pay anything if you do not want to, but it would be nice for you to visit the page. Peter.
