i guess he is not safe to drive.....
For WAH - things i love
We'll do it all
Everything
On our own
We don't need
Anything
Or anyone.
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel
Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough.
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life.
Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads.
I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own.
Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life.
All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes
they're all I can see.
I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all.
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

While selecting photos for the order of service for our daughter's funeral, also for her MuchLoved tribute page, I thought to make a collage of my favourites and then, after some deliberation, I thought to include it in my Flickr photostream.
My own passion for photography and my Flickr friends are part of my daily routine both of which help, especially now, to keep me on track - and I am very grateful.
Clare had a short life but, mindful of her own significant personal challenges, she supported others as best she could, lived life to the full, worked hard, had fun.........
:thank you for visiting my photostream:
ich liebe diese kleinen süssen und quirligen Vögelchen...es ist gar nicht so einfach, sie zu erwischen ;o)
for MacroMonday's Weathered and Worn. Spotty Ted is approximately 38 years old and went unloved for part of her early years. She was then adopted by Daughter No. 2 and has to be THE most loved bear in the world! At this stage I fear it will take micro surgery to separate them - Daughter No. 2 being in late 20s! (Thank you Elizafox22!)
orange you glad that,
tho' I contain multitudes,
I smile like this?
*responses in haiku-form will be generously rewarded*

Apparently, in my last photo, I looked sad / lonely / scared / et al. I do appreciate the concern and sincerely apologize if my retort came off as rude (it wasn't intended as such, as I imagine your comments were those of concern - not criticism). I am 'alone' on my vacation, but I have always sought solitude and time away from people so I can occasionally clear my head and heart. You may have seen feelings in my eyes and/or demeanor that I'm in denial or unaware of. I'm in a transitional moment -- finding a new home, new job (hopefully), new lots of things. I also am also deeply saddened by my father's condition and the rapid degeneration of his mind and life. I feel this every second, every minute, every hour, every day. I cannot run away from it and have stopped trying to. I love my father as much as anything in the world, so I feel incredibly guilty and angry at my own fear to spend time with him. I do see him and help him often. And it hurts. And I carry this burden daily and it clearly shines through, despite my best attempts to conceal it. I care about you all very much and know that the feelings are mutual. So, contrary to my short-lived comment in earlier response to you, I thank you for your attentiveness and concern, and am happy that you picked something out that I ought not to deny the existence of.

One of New York Cities most spectacular buildings is only 25% American owned. 75% of the ownership rights belongs to Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
The low clouds were moving very fast over the city.
The History of its ownership..................
The land on which the Chrysler Building stands was donated to The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, a private college that offers every admitted student a full tuition scholarship, in 1902. The land was leased to the Chrysler Corporation to construct the building in 1929. The land and the building continue to be owned by the college; however, the lease has changed several times. In 1957, it was leased to real-estate moguls Sol Goldman and Alex DiLorenzo, and later leased to the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. The lobby was refurbished and the facade renovated in 1978–1979. The building was leased by Jack Kent Cooke, a Washington, D.C. investor, in 1979. The spire underwent a restoration that was completed in 1995. In 1998, The Cooper Union leased the building to Tishman Speyer Properties and the Travelers Insurance Group. In 2001, a 75% stake in the lease of the building was sold, for US$ 800 million, to TMW, the German arm of an Atlanta-based investment fund. On June 11, 2008 it was reported that the Abu Dhabi Investment Council was in negotiations to buy TMW's 75% economic interest in the building and a share of the Trylons retail structure next door for US$ 800 million. On July 9, 2008 it was announced that the transaction had been completed, and that the Abu Dhabi Investment Council was now the owner of the building.
