I used to live on 30th Street one block over - and I thought I knew where we were going. There was always a venue at this location, and every now and then there were some fierce gay parties there.
But OH NO - this club is like the real deal. They've carved out something truly fantastic and created a mulit-level disco thick in the middle of the city.
L O V E
I had a GREAT time. Totally unexpected.

Tyra and I went to Body and Soul together on Sunday night to celebrate our Piscean-ness *wink* and it was FLAWLESS. I even took off work on the following Monday, so I danced 'till the end - 3 AM on a Sunday night. (And though I took my camera, I took NO photos 'coz I was TOO BUSY turnin' it out, hunee! There is no sittin' down for Julien at Body and Soul!)
Never imagined that 6 days later I'd be at it again with the House of Aviance in a fierce club.

So after a full day of
1) Work
2) hat-shopping in Brooklyn
3) art opening in Manhattan
4) dinner for 12, then 13, then 14 in Chinatown
THEN dancing at Mr. Black's
on Sunday I worked again, made some REAL progress and made my boss happy and then back to Brooklyn's Williamsburg for a nice date with an artist I met on-line.

We went to the National Botanic Gardens of Wales today where we saw a hawking and falconry display. This is a close up of the Red Kite 'Mr. Black' featured in a TV film with Iolo Williams.
We lost Mr. Black to some unnamed poison he found in my yard. He was a hoover. He ate everything except rocks. I'm thinking it was a poisoned bird or something. No matter. We had five rough days. And I have to focus on the five glorious years of life with that hilarious, happy, neurotic little clown.
I've been making a screensaver of him today. I have no pictures of some of his sweetest ways.
He would run along beside me and touch my toes with his nose every few steps when I was about to feed him.
If I got into bed with icy cold feet, he'd lay flush against my legs and try to cover my feet and ankes with his head and neck. How sweet is that?!?
He would sit for minutes on his haunches to beg, back straight as a board. If you put your hand against his hip when he was doing it you could feel all the muscles trembling with the effort to maintain the pose.
He ws by no means perfect. He was a triflin man who flirted with all the girls, but his actual girlfriends were: Christie, Rhonda, Gabby, Danielle, Jennifer n Julie.
He was neurotic. He loved people, but they got him too excited so he'd curl up and treat his tail like it was his binky. That's how he got one of his many nicknames, "slime-tail." And I'll always say, "No greater love hath any woman for a dog than to let him climb in under the covers behind your neck, and slime you from head to toe."
He was the shiniest dog that ever lived. He was a great friend, my precious baby. I must shift from missing to gratitude. I am blessed with the memories of that dog's love and joy. I've gotta stay focused.

Butterfly from Sanu
This little lady is always messing about in my orchids. (I keep bunnies on movement until they're full grown.) The butterfly on her nose is from Sanu (MoO). I found it at Ozimals sim one day waiting for a CSR. This is also a completely homegrown baby coming from Mullock (HLWhite Opal Lop Aphotic) and Lilypad (MRBlack Otter Peridot Lop Silky) How she ended up classic, I can't tell you, but I love it and she'll cross well to new shades.
