This is my first attempt at the infamous Ring nebula. This is unguided as I was not having a good time with my guidescope. This is my first successful All Star Alignment as well, at least to me it looked good. Comments most welcome.
This is a reprocess of the same data from my last M57 post. I had applied new techniques to bring out more detail using luminance masks and using the histogram tool in pixinsight, which told me when I was clipping data.
This is my final entry into the beginner Cloudy Nights Imaging contest for July 2011.
