Mt. Lemmon, Arizona.

Part of an area on Mount Lemmon that was hugely affected by the Aspen fire back in 2003.

It was very strange to see a whole section of trees just dead due to fire and a few yards in front of them trees so full of life! (Thank you to the hundreds of volunteers and fire fighters who fought the fire back in '03!)

It is amazing how much more we could see the next morning in this same spot. The road here winds along a steep cliff with a decent drop just beyond it.

Instead of following the trail I hiked up the side of the mountain and took the road back to the truck. This shot doesnt show it but it was getting dark quick.
