Changing leaves on Mount Lemmon near the end of October.

Mount Lemmon, Meadow Trail, elev. over 8000 feet, Catalina Mountains, AZ USA, July 2016

Mount Lemmon had a pretty serious fire in June of 2003.

It is amazing to drive up the Catalina Highway (leading to Mount Lemmon). A number of zones are passed as you climb higher into the mountain. In a mere 20 minutes you leave behind the saguaros of the Sonoran Desert and find yourself surrounded by pine trees (and at least twenty degrees cooler!)
