Seasons Greetings!
Hopped on the CTA Holiday Train at Dempster and rode it down to the Linden Station. It stopped at Linden for about 20 minutes, making for a good opportunity to take pics without the train bouncing around. Great fun with all the decorations and lights on the train, Christmas music being played in the cars and all the kids getting their picture taken with Santa.
Taken at the Oaktree Circuit in Somerset this is the home of the Somerset Rebels Speedway Team , this is my first attempt to capture night time riding and motion images using my Nikon D7100 and my Sigma 170 - 500mm lens ... though i would love to buy a F2.8 lens and capture the pro shots its simply out of my league at the moment however I am still impressed with how the D7100 performed under pressure.
I remembered I had bought a sound trigger for my flash months back
and only used it once, so when the thunder and lighting started
I reckoned it was a good time to play dice with the weather gods...

Todays Random Fact:
The average person in the United States uses anywhere from 80-100 gallons of water per day. Flushing the toilet actually takes up the largest amount of this water.
This was an image I almost deleted from my card because of the decapitation of the Mallard duck but I stopped myself just in time when I saw the water droplets left behind frozen in focus between the bird and the bridge handrail.
This shot was taken at the London Wetland Centre in Barnes, West London (WWT - Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust) not far from the River Thames.

back from NY... made plenty of capture over there... I like this one because the lady in the back is "almost" neat :D
New York is really a city that never sleeps... in the end, most of the photo I took there are motion capture or pannings. I have not been through them all yet so get ready for a rather big set of photos

Flight and Sand: The Art of the Long Jump captures athletes at their most expressive — soaring, twisting, and crashing through the air in a blur of strength and sand.
Photographed at Highland Games and Scottish meets, each frame freezes that heartbeat between power and poise, where every leap becomes sculpture.
