So this cuddly bundle of legs and hate I spotted outside the Harley Davidson showroom just up from my apartment, the logo of which gave a great and eerie backdrop which I bokehed out and by using only the raised ISO to 1600 and lowering shutter speed; the noise is as a result of the higher ISO and the logo behind is not all red, so the blur is slightly fragmented, but, the floodlight available from the ground under the sign post leading into the industrial state, where I was standing, glinted off the this male's eyes just at the right point.

He was quite the mover hence the motion blur on the leg tips, plus this was originally upside down, so adjusting this finished off what I thought looked quite cinematic; there were several large males (mating season) and this one nearly got his moment but was chased off by a very aggressive female, better luck next mate, I feel your pain! ;)

After having some time away from photography, basically I felt a complete disconnect from my art and I have no idea why. It seems I experienced something akin to writer's block, but more liken to feeling that my photos had no emotion, no vibration. Spent days looking at my work and couldn't feel anything for it.

However, I went out yesterday after my best friend nagged me to get back out and go sit in nature, by the lake in Storkow(Mark), and just see how I felt. This experimental daytime LE in the fresh breeze is the result. I hope you like it. My friend was right I thank her cordially!

A long exposure night photograph of one of the extreme rides at the recent funfair in Hull. These rides don’t do me any good so I won’t ride on them but I do love to photograph them if there’s one in the area.

This photo is to commemorate my time working at home on an animated series in 2020.

In the early stages of production, it is essential to be on-set or in the Motion Capture Studio to capture the performance of the actors. After these initial stages of an animated series or film, it is easy to work from home for the remainder of a project.

All of this is made possible by working with a core team of competent responsible people with the same vision, and a good Producer to keep the communication flowing. There are some challenges, but I don't miss rush hour traffic. All the extra hours that you gain, actually leads to increased productivity.

By sharing project recourses in the cloud, and being able to log in to the render farms and servers when needed, finally allows one to work remotely.

in the bright slice of afternoon, the world shrank to grass, a ball, and the joy of a kick. light carved him from the darkness, shadow doubling his leap, as if even the sun wanted in on the game.

Igloo (Bruno Martinelli and Ruth Gibson) give a seminar at the Institute for Creative Enterprise (ICE) building at Coventry University as part of a three day residency.

A 10 second, long exposure of the Super Bowl extreme fairground ride at Hull Fair - probably the most dangerous place I’ve visited in the last 18 months. Thousands of people rammed into a confined space and NO social distancing or other COVID-19 precautions.

ok, sorry, I did it again... in fact, I wanted to test a DIY piece of gear that now allows me to do such capture without carrying my wife on my back!! :D

and my back appreciates!! :D

First time I've tried one of these, and I think I might be hooked... I found this cool glass at the dollar store and thought it would contrast nicely with a strawberry. 3 flash set up (see comments for details) shot with a 50mm f/1.8 using cactus V5 triggers (and some paper towels)

in munich, just outside the riem arcaden, the silence is broken by the rush of wheels against concrete. shadows stretch long, but this biker, undeterred, races down the towering stairs, a blur of motion and determination. the stark contrast of light and shadow captures the fleeting intensity of this moment, where gravity and grit collide.
